I'd thought those sections were boring and worthless as well, until I found a mod that increased the mob spawns/counts, adjusted the gravity somewhat, and drove through their groups, tossing bodies everywhere, with Slayer blaring in the background. I also miss finding just the perfect angle of a shot to pin a Combine troopie's head to a billboard with the crossbow, to watch the string puppet flop. Or cheating the gravity gun early on, to fling the bodies around and make them dance (even caught a glitch at one point and picked up two troopies by accident....lovely duet number....). Fun times, fun times.... Wish I can find all my mods again to HL2. Most of them I remember have no links anymore, or have been deleted. Oh, well. I'll bide my time when HL3 emerges, and wait for unofficial reviews and Steam sales before I'd even think about buying it. Can't trust the market, nowadays....

Guest carywinton Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 If this comes out at all, which I still have doubts of, it will only be available for their damn console "Steam Machine", which is going to seriously piss off every single HL fan there is and cut their sales way down. HL2 - EP2 was released in October of 2007 , that was six years ago, way past any "episodic" time frame, which IMHO, is also a farce and illusion, to give the consumer hope that a game will be released in a shorter time frame. We shall see, but I feel any real hope for a PC version of either HL2-EP3 or simply HL3 is now definitely gone.
