That sunburn looks bad. 53 minutes ago, woodsman30 said: nothing has changed until I loaded up my game today Did you start Skyrim without starting Steam first? Even if Steam starts automatically while Skyrim is loading it will start the Skyrim Launcher, which will have fun with your LO, especially with all your deactivated plugins (it will try to activate as many plugins as possible and will move them to the end of your LO). donttouchmethere Posted July 2, 2023 Posted July 2, 2023 If you didn't play for a while and a Windows Update sneaked in that resets manually set admin rights for your mod manager (I had that issue after not starting Skyrim for a year, for NMM that only effected the installation of new mods). A virus scanner update did reset of your folder exceptions (if you ever made some that is).

No window updates no updates for anything I am stumped on this one never seen it before.... Can it be fixed sure just start a clean profile and install mods one at a time. Not sure I am willing to do that as Skyrim is long in the tooth and I fought the good fight with it not sure it is worth starting anew.

Especially the position of any Smashed Patch, Bashed Patch, Tes5edit Patch. Did the position of your armor/outfit replacer change? Are plugins now activated that are already merged or Bashed Patch merged? If the Steam Launcher got involved you would see many plugins at the end of your LO that shouldn't be there. If your LO got messed up you can still repair it: > extract the old LO from a save game (Fallrimtools) > I use Wrye Bash to sort the LO manually to the extracted old LO If you checked the data folder I guess you're not using MO right? Psalam Posted July 2, 2023 Posted July 2, 2023 What about something behind the scenes like a file being overwritten because of lack of space?

I validated the game on Steam and there were 5 missing files that were restored so it is fixed. I thank you for your help and letting me vent my issues Edited July 2, 2023 by woodsman30 2

Thanks for posting the solution. (although Steam will always say that some files need to be repaired, probably Steam just needed to validate the installation again) Edited July 2, 2023 by donttouchmethere 2
