Out of curiosity, how does a sim purchase an AWE Porn Studio? Do you have to work through the Producer career or is it something that can be done via PC/Phone?

I'm making a world with playable actors but wanted a horrible producer NPC who owns the monopoly of AWE studios. I'm hoping not to have to actually play as him to get this world started.

Nobody owns the studio. It is a career venue like the science lab, hospital, police station, and high school.

I'm still trying to figure out how to get the active career part to work at all.

 

I'm using Lot51 core 1.20, WickedWhims v180b, Basemental Venue List v2.35, Fashion Authority v2.0.4, Big Dick Problems Alpha1.8_5.0, and I have the Get To Work and Get Famous DLC.

 

The rabbit hole part works flawlessly but the active part breaks as soon as my sim gets asked to be followed. I used a pre-built venue for AWE and I can walk around the building before the shift without a problem. I'm missing a couple of DLC for furniture items but I rebuilt the building with items I do have.

I saw some comments earlier experiencing the same error, but it wasn't resolved. Does this mean this part of the mod is bugged? Would building my own AWE building fix this?

Thank you for the screenshots and logs. Does this problem occur if you try with only AWE, WW, and Lot51 core installed?

Yes, I removed all mods except AWE, WW, and Lot51 Core but still get the same error. I haven't tried building my own AWE lot, I've only tried turning a residential lot into a AWE studio but it still won't work.

It should work with a residential lot turned into a studio as long as the right lot type shows up in the world view. The next step would be to try a new save and see if the one you are using is corrupt.

Thank you for documenting everything so well. I am having a similar issue if I disable all packs but the ones you own. I will fix it ASAP.

My sim has been streaming a lot and still hasn't been gaining any fans OoO

What version are you using? That was a bug I fixed with the streaming rework.

ok, i need some help with the no-rabbit hole career.

 

I'm on 1.106.  Got ww. I put your custom studio, with the venue requirements working fine.

 

An hour before work, i got the phone choice (got to work/from home...) and i chose got to work. But i don't have what i suppose to be the choice of going to work with my sim.

 

I got the basemental venue list (which is supposed to be "universal") and got all dlcs.

 

help.

How does one procure coworkers/colleagues and a director? I have an AWE Porn Studio but don't seem to have access to coworkers, directors or any other Sims to "work with"

I'm not sure what is going on for you. As long as your lot has the right venue type and in the world view isn't showing an exclamation mark and follow messages are turned on, it should be working. Is it working with only WW, the venue list, Lot 51 injector, and the AWE pornography mod installed? You can remove everything else and it won't permanently affect your save as long as you exit the game without saving.

If you mean for the active career, you place a venue and assign the AWE Porn Studio lot type to it. You do not own the business.

They should be showing up automatically if you are going to an active work day. If you are visiting the lot during off hours, nobody will be there.

ok, SO :

 

i delete everything included the "ressource" file to a clean purge, minus the essential you quoted and "XmlInjector_Script_v4" because i diidn't remembered if it was ok..

but when it was time to go to work, fail, still a rabbit hole...

 

so either it's that XmlInjector that f up everything, or for some reason there is an incompatibility with the Basemental-Venue-List that i got for the venues (which shouldn't, cuz i put your studio with the right venue option and everything).

I use Basemental's venue list too, so as long as you don't have a super old version, it won't be the problem. XML Injector wouldn't cause any problems either. You can try a new save to see if yours has been corrupted or you could send me the save file you've been using and I'll give it a try.

i reinstalled and moded my games a few weeks ago, so it shouldn't be outdated.

 

i'll send you the files and what should be my save (and the 7zip just in case). my sim is in the island one (name is pompei) and the workplace in the "eco" town (the polluted part).

 

also, reminder : my game is in 1.106 and i got all the dlc.

 

also, maybe you'll be lucky but i wasn't : my save had the job starting in 2 hours but without all my mods it started with a 3 day vacation ><

You can delete all of those attachments now. Your Sim is only level 2 in the career and level 5 is when the active career days start.
