Pitdeggeh
Hey errywun! o3o I have a decently sized set of armors and a big set of weapons made for Skyrim, and I want to port them to Oblivion somehow. They're the Dark Souls armors + weapons pack I found on facepunch http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1262653&page=8 I really love these armors and weapons, so much fun to use but Skyrim just doesn't do it for me; way too dumbed down and clunky for my liking, and I really love Oblivion more! Can someone please take some time out of their day to give me an in-detail, step-by-step tutorial on how to port these over to Oblivion? Thanks ^.,^ Link to comment
windpl
I suppose that you would need to edit meshes to fit oblivion skeleton and then make esp for them. Link to comment
gregathit
There is no such thing that I am aware of. There are lots of youtube vids of "parts and pieces" but nothing step by step comprehensive. It would be a wall of text if there was. Porting in and of itself is difficult and the methods vary depending on what game you are porting from. So there won't ever be a guide that covers all the bases for that. There is one tutorial up here at LL that "may" be helpful: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/16198-porting-meshes-from-skyrim-to-oblivion-using-blender/ Link to comment

I tried to run the NIF script for Blender but not only does it say Blender isn't installed (it is), the older versions of it do nothing. At this point I'm highly considering paying someone to do these. Link to comment
gregathit
You need the correct version of blender along with nifscripts to import nif files: http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/42755//? You open blender and use the file, import, netimmerse\gamebyro and then select which nif file you want to import. Link to comment

My apologies for seeming rash last post, I was quite irritated as I really, really want these armors and weapons in the game. Link to comment
norinvaux
I don't suppose you had any luck with your conversion, did you? I've been trying to do almost the same thing (trying to port the Elite Knight Set), using the exact same guide, but I keep getting stuck. I'm constantly getting stuck somewhere for an hour or two, leaving it for a bit, then finding a way around it and getting it to work, but I seem to be screwed where I'm at right now. I just can't find what the hell to do in part 3 of that guide. Link to comment
