Although we've been at odds in the past, on this occasion I must agree with enya.

 

No modder is under any obligation whatsoever to share their work with the public. Those that do, do so at entirely their own choosing. People can show off their private works if they want to but there's nothing wrong with them saying that their work is not for public release. Sure, we get a few trolls from time to time who deliberately rub shiny content in our face knowing that we'll never get our hands on it (I'll let you guess who) but consider it incentive to learn tools like Nifskope, Photoshop and the rest and then create your own. I did.

 

I've been down this road many times before also (one particular time back in 2005 when I was working for Electronic Arts UK springs to mind...) It's no wonder why a lot of modders who previously released content now refuse to do so,  it's because the gaming community in general is lazy and greedy.

I'm not talking about LL exclusively, LL is actually one of the better communities that I've been proud to be a member of, but even here you can see it a little bit. People who will happily take, but never give back.

 

When I made all the custom female sounds that went into SexAddicts and SexLab, there were a few moments when I thought about just keeping it for myself for my own enjoyment. Mainly because it was my first public foray into Skyrim modding and I wasn't sure how the content would be received, but partly because I knew that there will be people out there who will quite happily rip and redistribute it without a moment's hesitation.

 

At the end of the day, most mod makers spend countless hours creating content. Whether they decide to let you have it is their choice, not yours.

 

Fun Fact: I became more active here on LL than at the nexus because i wanted to avoid the private modders at the nexus and it's even worse now on LL. Not because i'm greedy or i'm unable to mod.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Why dont you try to learn how to do it? I mean no offense of course, but the internet is a really powerful tool if you know what to do with it :D you can learn like anything you want.

Get angry when I read such comments. Imagine you had spend your hole free time to create something unique. You worked hard on a project for days, weeks, sometimes even months! You had to learn how to solve endless problems to fulfill a personal dream.

 

I have the highest respect for all the modders who share their work!

 

Have a stressful job and absolutely no desire to spend my little free time with updates, troubleshooting, requests, etc. ...

 

Releasing a mod is a lot of work!

 

Endless requests will follow: Why don't you make your stuff for some different body types too? Some additional colors maybe? Other textures? You'll wonder how offended people react when you reject! And as a special reward you will receive a lot of silly and disrespectful comments under your work.

 

Releasing a mod? No, thanks, I did once, I'll do never again ... Just share with close friends or other modders.

 

 

Imagine that, some people have a job and a family, those people don't have much time to play the game, creating stuff even less.

 

Sharing is caring they say. Not sure if some people understand the concept of a mod sharing community, i mean correct my if i got that wrong but aren't sites like this meant to share mods, not to show shit off and go "it's private: insert trollface here"

 

I'm no friend of infinite requests on modders, that's annoying, i speak of experience, but these can be ignored if some people would atleast release stuff they keep showing off. 90% of all requests are anyway "For cbbe plz for unp plz" seriously the bodytype is so fucking irrelevant because most armors have their own bodymesh.

 

 

I don't like request bitching, but that's nothing compared to private-mod-trolls.

 

 

Interestingly aspect! Most people are looking for download links here! They don't know how to mod. And they don't offer anything at all in exchange!

I'm a nobody in the modding community, but that doesn't mean i have nothing to say.

 

 

Not every one has free time to take requests. Others like they're

mods to be private, And so what. It is they're property and they're mods.

I have re-done some tattoo's for the unp body. But I do not go blabbing what

i have done re re made to another body type mainly because I did not make

the tattoo. But the fact is, if someone does not want to share then your sense

of entitlement means nothing. Accept it and move on.  this maybe a sharing

community. But that does not entitle anyone to what someone else has made.

 

I can imagine someone going up to someone else and saying, i like your work. It's mine too.

You have to share. Even though the other person has built it with they're own money and also

designed it as well.  If you can not mod or contribute, then you can always ask and make a request.

But be thankful for what others have given to you. Be happy that someone or a group of people

even botherd to make this website and make it public for you to even look at what has been done here.

Thanks for trying but I was already aware of the mods location. However, when I downloaded those files, they only included the cbbe meshes. There are no textures in this mod.

 

The plan is to find the textures that make the dwarven armor look so shiny in this mod's picture and apply it to a sevenbase remodel ;)

Anyone can recommend a house mod for darker toons? Preferably outside of nexus. With a rather large basement where one can add torture devices :P (i can tweak it myself but building one from scratch takes too much time). Mods like Hill House is a bit over the top (and no basement i think), i'd prefer something simplier :P

 

Using Breezehome FullyUpgradable at the moment, its got a nice empty basement without buying the upgrades there, but getting bored of it lol.

Fashion clothes seems similar - but I don't think they have the exposed breasts. Is it possible the original posted modded the mesh themselves?

It's disappointing, but if the creator doesn't want to share it - that's they're choice and it should be respected.

 

I'm not sure I understand why someone would make that choice, but I have no right to feel aggrieved about it.

Actually I don't know what intentions stand behind 7keys. I don't even know if he's an active user of any TES forums apart from Nexus where he uploads his images rather seldomly. Perhaps he just does that for pure satisfaction from ignoring the requests people make about mods he uses. Typical Japanese :P

As for those images that was pretty strange as he uploaded them, then deleted after like 20 minutes. I have been lucky to have them saved, though who knows what pics I'm missing. Actually I fell in love with 7keys', Elewin's and pajiman's characters as they seem to be most realistic. I just love the variety of expressions they use which makes character's appearance less hollow.

Any place you can still find DH Enb newer than v 1.0 or something? The one on ASOT site? I mean, i downloaded that one, sure it's nice but i can't seem to get the same quality shots as sanhoshin's characters so i'm guessing there must be a newer version out there.

Idk about the rest of it, but the top is someone's edit of the top from Osare hotpants.  That's either just an alpha property when the retexured or they deleted 2 or 3 rows of elements out in max.

That's a pretty cool thing. What does this follower do? I'm wondering how would you go changing her hair and body mesh to make her look less "vanilla" (and maybe give her clothes, because if that's possible it would be a really cool addon.

Sometimes it based on someone elses work, who restrict the usage of it to personal only

 

They still have the right to show it off, all that hard work deserves some recognition.

 

And as the other poster said, the internet is a great place to learn . . .

If I can learn it, any body can. I still can't release it -is other peoples work, and if it wasn't I wouldn't want the headaches of maintaining support for it.

I've a question - how do you know the name of the hair? Are you browsing through them with NifSkope? In racemenu it's just assigned a number that varies depending on what else is installed, unless I'm missing something :)

 

 

There were reference pictures in the SG Hair thread before it got removed.

 

 

Thes archive also has a folder of screenshots naming them, if that helps
