White parts on black hair and eyelashes

Hi there, I'm having some issues with a model on blender. It's Alice from Alice Madness returns. I got the model from models resource, and I'm having a strange issue with her hair and eyelashes. I'm trying to get her ready to make her in a mod, but this is the issue I'm facing. She seems to have issues with her hair and eyelashes working correctly. I'm not sure why this is showing up. If anyone can help me in the right direction, I'd be forever grateful. If anyone needs the actual blend file to look, I'd be more than happy to oblige.

 

Blender version I'm using is 2.79b.

That's a transparency issue and the white parts are suppose to be transparent and I'm not sure how to turn transparency on in blender. Also moved thread general discussion thread as the modders resource section isn't for tech questions.
