haaaa i was wondering why the fuck isn't there a true sex mods for starfield. i thought the creation kit was out ... patience young pervy padawans lol

I think that something easy could be made without the CK, but it seems like the animators don't get it to work by now.

I have been under the impression that parts of the kit needed to get animations into the game absolutely require the CK, unfortunately.  As well as certain critical pieces like a Starfield Script Extender (SFSE?)

Script extender is already there... There is also an animation Framework and a restraining framework and a enslaving framework.... We have a lot of frameworks...

Lack of love for the game seems to be a big problem.

It's pretty hard for people to be motivated to mod a game that they're not enthusiastic about in the first place. The game's worldbuilding, lackluster writing and its problems have just not been very inspiring for folks.

Even if we had a high-level coding sex framework magically appear tomorrow, all the fringe modders who do all the fun addons still need the CK to do our stuff otherwise you might as well just watch porn or do some SF reskins for Honey Select :)

Sure, but we have to start somewhere:

All the nice fun addons depend on the basic sex framework and animation packs. It all starts with one animation and a little mod that triggers it.

what lack of love? ck is meant to come out by february and people are tweaking with models to make nude stuff already, so far it seems to be like fallout 3 ish where you have one body instead of multiple parts, i don't get why are you implying people hate the game or something, all i've been seeing in the last few months is sony fans trying their hardest to make starfield be hated as cyberbug2077 was even though the game is exact the same as in the direct, which is fallout 4 with skyrim powers in space.

I was replying to the three post before that post by @Pfiffy and @Strec2 .

Rather thinking about the negatives but what can be the start of bigger things!

Hmm with Fallout 4 it started with @Leito86 , @Crazy6987 Animations and the first FO4 sex framework "Four-play" by @DocClox with mods from @vinfamy@dagobaking Brilliant Sex framework AAF (Advanced Animation Framework) came out 2 years later about One year later.

There is nobody in starfield I want to see naked. We need a jump point to a different galaxy far away from the core characters.

...a galaxy far, far away...

*This could be a cool cross mod. or an enormous IP-conflict XD

Obviously these are just Steam numbers, but if that's the lack of love from people who actually paid for the game and aren't playing it for 'free' on Gamepass, I don't know what to tell you. There are more people playing Fallout 4 at the moment and it's maintained consistent-ish numbers since 2017. Unless something drastic happens to Starfield, I don't see that happening in this case. Of course you'll get diehard fans playing it, but I don't think it will have the same kind of longevity as FO4. Even F:NV has had 3-5k average players since release on Steam. For Starfield to fall to 8k less than a few months after release isn't a great sign.

You can't really compare player numbers. Skyrim has a decade of mods and all the DLC. Fallout 4 has 6 years worth of mods and all the DLC. Starfield has been out a few months, no DLC yet and few mods as the official tools have not been released yet.

Citing current player numbers and comparing them to long established modding platforms is disingenuous at best. But mostly flagrant dishonesty.

Starfield numbers will climb along with the addition of mods and DLC.

There is no way in fuck I would have put 4000 plus hours into Skyrim if it wasn't for the mods. Same with Fallout 4 - over 4000 hours there as well - it's the mods stupid. The MODS. I have 600 hours in VANILLA Starfield because the game is good. Not perfect (thats what the mods are for).

You mean "something drastic" like DLC being released?

Have you looked at how volatile Skyrim's numbers were across it's first year. OK, it had about x4 more than Starfield, but only x4. That's not a whole lot if Starfield shows similar spikes in the weeks ahead.

A DLC is not sufficient by itself and mainly the first one. Perhaps the CK will be the key, or not...

Anyway any numbers are biased due to the GamePass impact.

No, but a dlc will see a spike in the players, and between new content and the patches the game gets, more of them will likely hang around.

Like I say, look at Skyrim's first year. The player count was up and down like the proverbial whore's drawers.

The problem is the core game. Skyrim/Fallout 4, despite how polarizing fallout 4 is it still got exploration correct. Unless Beth does something drastic to make people WANT to explore the overworld of Starfield, the game is done. And it's weird that they made a space game, but didn't bother to fill much of the worlds with enough things to make us want to explore anything other than the main cities.

Beth does something drastic

Beth will not do such thing judging by the games they released so far - their core games (all of them by my opinion) are mediocre at least, mods (mod authors) are what make them enjoyable to play. So, current state of Starfield is not relevant to compare to other (modable) Beth games - give it few years (3 at least) and than we can see how the things are going. That heavily depends on mod authors desire to make mods for this game (if Beth release good and usable Creation Kit) - for now I stopped playing the game (no fun at all) and deleted those 100gb of bad data from my SD... the time will tell what will happen with Starfield, right?

Easy to miss, but the game does kind of have sex in it just not explicitly.

After I married Sarah, she'd always be next to me after using a bed and make a comment about how she hadn't gotten enough sleep or had some sort of workout etc.

She annoyed me at first but really grew on me.

Though the end of my first playthrough put me deep into the mindset of an eternal, unfeeling ghost and it was hard to stay attached after that.

Did you marry Sarah? Is she still alive?

If you become a widower, you can then date and even marry Andreja, without needing mods or cheating.

And you will see that, from the dialogues after sleeping together, Sarah is more fond of sex than Andreja. The only thing missing is the animations... Just be patient, one day we'll get there!

I was planning to ditch Sarah and try Andreja to see what it was like, but like I said Sarah grew on me so I ended up marrying and staying with her to the end. I don't think I even used any other followers for my last 40-odd hours of gameplay except when a quest forced it.

As to whether she's still alive?

Spoiler

I hope so, wherever it is her journey took her, in whatever universe she ended up in. I meet her parallel selves, but they'll never really be the woman I married.

Reason I am not playing Starfield is that the intro is half a fucking hour and you have to go through all of it and then make a bunch of choices about your character that you have no clue about the consequences of before you can save the game.

They messed up big time, hard to believe they didn't have people point out the issue in play testing.
