NoMann Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 So i've spent all night rigging a new creature to a Frost Atronach skeleton. All went well, it shows up in the creation kit's armor addon but not when I enter the game. I've optimized the Textures and .Nif through Cathedral. I've checked the skeleton, partitions, Armor Addon and everything seems to be in order but the mesh just refuses to show up in game. I'm at a loss, any ideas? Mesh is attached below atronach.nif
MadMansGun Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 (edited) for most creatures you don't need to use a BSDismemberSkinInstance on them, try converting it into NiSkinInstance (just right click on them in nifscope), then in the esp set the body template flags to just be "body" in both the "armor" and "armoraddon" Edited January 18, 2023 by MadMansGun

Andy14 Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 Just now, MadMansGun said: no, you DO need BSDismemberSkinInstance on player race body meshes, Eg: it's used to remove the lower legs when boots are equipped. I have my own body since 2014 and more than 400 armor/clothes and nowhere BSDismemberSkinInstance. BSDismemberSkinInstance is legacy and not needed - anywhere.
