Hi Oli,

 

ran into a pretty nasty issue here, and spent the last 6 hours trying to resolve it, sadly no luck.

 

Situation is:

 

Installed your mod a while ago, with all dependencies, running FNIS 5.02, SKSE 1.7, all fine.

 

In some location (i dont recall where) i set down one of your furniture (could have been a plate for chains, could have been a cross, i dont recall).

 

At some point in time i activated the "reset devices" option in the mcm menu - which is when things went horribly wrong.

 

What happens now everytime i load a game, is that my papyrus logfile gets spammed with the following:

The array index number (8353571, last line) is increasing all the time while the game runs. That number must be stored in the savegame as well, it is increasing after a save/load.

 

My papyrus logfile reaches 8 GB within a couple of minutes ...

 

MCM menu shows NO actors bound to any devices, and one device active (thats the one i cant locate).

 

I tried to disable your mod and load the last savegame, but whenever i try that, Skyrim crashes with a CTD when i try to do another save.

 

The savegame cleaners dont help, i tried to remove all of the running threads and scripts to no avail.

 

Do you have ANY clue how to fix this? I would really hate to lose a lot of hours of savegames, trying to figure out one of my savegames that didnt have your mod installed. From what i can see, one of your while loops for resetting the devices has simply run off with a wrong index / end number - there must be some way to fix that.

I will have a look into this.

In the meantime, do not use "reset devices"

 

remove my mod(free the npcs, remove the devices by hand)

load game, save game and reinstall the mod...

So it seems it's possible for NPCs you haven't bound to use these furniture items if they're sandboxing in the area. Is there any way to forbid them from doing so? While trying to place a prisoner in a set of chains in my prison cell, the guard sandboxing in the area kept warping over and binding herself in them. And I had my steward bound on a wheel in my house, but at one point one of the other NPCs in the area attached herself to it during the brief period where the NPCs aren't bound when you enter the cell.

Oli3d, the moment I saw this mod (Positioning mod) I knew it would be SOOOOOOOOOO very useful for your mod.

It works flawlessly with your mod and its literally amazing and no offense but much more easy to use than your object mover. I hope you might integrate it or recommend it to others so that you can just focus on what you do best, which is make amazing animations. :D Much love.

if i have see: "Mod Slaverun" , i have thought on your Mod. Why not make some more bondage animation and more Slots for furniture and we can all make a Slavetown with own Preference. How ever, thank you for your nice Mod. I love it.

Oli3d, the moment I saw this mod (Positioning mod) I knew it would be SOOOOOOOOOO very useful for your mod.

 

It works flawlessly with your mod and its literally amazing and no offense but much more easy to use than your object mover. I hope you might integrate it or recommend it to others so that you can just focus on what you do best, which is make amazing animations. :D Much love.

So anyhoo, I don't know when you'll have the free time to update this, but I'd just like to mention again I'd really like to see some cage and some more chain animations. At present, the only way for me to use any cages is Puppet Master, and that only comes with five slots... and the puppets constantly shift sideways and ruin my decor placement!

i wish i could... but i had errors of converting the cages in to furnitures.

In summer(june) i hope i will be back to modding.

Really looking forward to your moving this on to add the rest of the available furniture.  Promises to be one of the best and most useful mods out there, to let us non-modders influence and add to the game environment

Now i am ready again.

Installed a clean skyrim and added a bunch of LL mods.

It will take some time before i release a new or enhanced mod.

First i will have a look at "Jaxonz Positioner"........maybe  to fix the issues with the ghostly builder etc.

 

My Plan:

 

1.  Develop an enhanced bondage furniture positioner script that:

 

does not conflict with other mods...

remembers the position of a furniture on the map..

 

2. integrate all the bondage furnitures:

 

using fores(fnis) latest furniture options.

implement a new positioning script for the furniture users(better positioning)

implement sexlab animations in my mod

implement a system to use resources to build the furnitures(metall, wood, etc.)

implement a key system like in Devious Devices or integrate it via plugin

 

3. optional npc management:

 

20 slots (or more) management to force npcs(non follower etc.) in bondage furnitures

lol... your mod is causing me problem. when i tried to remove this mod, it's causing CTD on save (took me 5 hours to figure out what causes that), but when i re-install it back, everything is working again.

 

i tried the clean save, at least i think i did it right, still get CTD on save.

edit: nvm, it seems to fix itself somehow.

 

edit2: nope, CTD on save shows up again the moment i used save script cleaner to remove remanding scripts.

Just start a game wit my mod and exit.

I will have a look at it.

Thanks for that.  I shall be...even if only for the reason that RL will take me away for a few weeks.  Makes the thought of coming back better, though... :shy:
