nooddood Posted November 1, 2022 Posted November 1, 2022 I'm trying to import my animated rig into sims4studio but for some reason it can't recognize my rig. SMS is updated to the latest version. The path is pointing to Blender 3.3. The rig has been correctly baked. So I am at a loss on what to do. If anyone can help I would appreciate it ❤️

MrGrey Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 I thought that Sims 4 Studio only worked with Blender 2.7. You could ask on the Sims 4 Studio site how their tool works.
パンとバラ Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 (edited) AIRC Sims 4 Studio only recognizes 2.70, 2.76 and 2.79 as valid versions for importing, otherwise it gives out an error. You need to append your animated rig onto a file created with one of these formats in order for Sims 4 Studio to recognize it. However, an open beta is going underway in order to make the versions 3.3 and 3.3.1 recognize it. Here's Andrew's Thread on Sims 4 Studio about the compatible versions: Which versions of Blender can I use with Sims 4 Studio? | Sims 4 Studio Edited November 3, 2022 by パンとバラ
modella Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Yep! All you'll need to do is append the file in either Blender 2.7, 2.76, or 2.79! This is an animation I made using Blender 2.83 In 2.76 use the append feature, select your Blender file you made in Blender 3.3, click objects, and then select the rig. In this case, mine is the female rig. It'll look a bit interesting due to just being the rig, but once you save this new file, you should be able to upload it into S4Studio without a problem ?
Khlas Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 Guys, it’s being figured out in dm. His blend file works fine, it was something else.
LoXLG Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 (edited) Hello. Sorry for asking here but I also need help working with blender 3.3 I've done some test animations with the following rigs: -YOURNAME_Animation_Name_male/female -Dagger_ControlRig_Simite_male/female I've baked them and then test them in game. The animation done with the YOURNAME rig works while the animation done with the Dagger rig just T-pose. I did some animations with the Dagger rig before with blender 2.79 and it works in game. For some reason, the Dagger rig's rig (not the control rig) is missing bones when opened in blender 3.3. Here's the comparison for blender 2.7 and 3.3. the rig is hidden at the moment. Here's when the rig is unhidden The rig didn't show in 3.3 (also the rig is somehow part of the "scene collection" and is greyed out like the lamps) Maybe that's the problem? Like I baked the animation but there's nothing there to bake it to? If so, how can I fix this? Dagger_Test.blendYOURNAME_Test.blend Edited December 19, 2022 by LoXLG

Rig female is currently disabled in viewports that's why it's greyed and inactive, you need to use an Outliner filter to enable it. Spoiler 1

You saved me from settling with the no IK rig. Yeah, I'm still new with blender and should have learned the basics first ? But awesome people like you really help noobs like me learn this stuff faster. Thanks again!
