One more thing for some reason every time my game loads it says SOS version is too old and exit game reinstall in SOS (3,00000004 i think) I reintlled latedt version and it still says this.

  • Verify your game version (product version of your SkyrimSE.exe file, take note of these numbers because you'll need them.
  • Also verify which version of SKSE you have installed, if you go to the skse website you should see some numbers like the one you got from checking your exe file. These must match.
  • Mods with a dll file (such as SOS and SL) need to be released for specific versions of SKSE too, so they will also mention said version numbers. Always confirm you're getting the proper files for your installed version of the game and SKSE.

Knowing that is essential to avoid problems with incompatible/outdated mods. The rest is knowing how to get up to date ports or releases, for which you can usually refer to the SL Index or the SE Compatibility posts (blue links in my signature). Also you should look into disabling Steam updates if you haven't already, plenty of threads and even videos with the step by step if you want to look into it.

I saved and loaded again and it said:

Outdated or missing "sexlabutil"skse plugin detected

I checked and it was there.  I also reintalled sexlab latest version again.  I just dl Skyrim and its not the aniversy so I'm using sexlab 1.63.  Also I reinstalled sos and still get

SOS warning! says its not found or too old?

Did not run into this when I modded Syrim LE

Again, save yourself a lot of troubles and check your skyrimse.exe version and start from there. Even if you think you don't have AE (because you didn't buy it), staying in the latest versions of SE still modifies your exe. If you want to mod LE go for it. SE has had several updates in the last year and you need to take that into account, otherwise plenty of mods won't work as intended (even if you have this or that version according to you).

Really? Again. The only thing that matters here is to match your game executable with SKSE and with mods with a dll. You're not doing that. You're completely ignoring this part. If you have "Skyrim 164" I guess you're on a exe version above 1.5.97 (1.6.640, 1.6.353?) then you need to use a release of SL made for these 1.6+ versions. That's why this is one of the first thing you see in red letters in the SL page:

With the exact product version of your SkyrimSE.exe go to the SKSE site and get the version that matches said product version.

From that point on any mod containing a dll file will also need to match or support your exe and SKSE versions.

Remember the other requirements for SL, such as FNIS/Nemesis, XPMSSE, nude bodies, etc. And Address Library as stated in the info above.

And remember to disable automatic Steam updates, otherwise the moment the game updates again you'll be making a thread about how your game broke out of the blue.

I understand what you mean about matching skse with correct skyrim and sexllab.  I have all that correct.  I just dl it yesterday.  The only thing that I'm wondering is if my old skse files might still be there.  When I re down loaded the game skse files and several others were still showing up in directory.  I installed skse and it asked me if i wanted to override the old and I did.  Last night I went through directory and found a file from old skse and deleted it.  Lost after that.  I do appreciate you taking the time to try and help though.

Not sure how to check the dll file though.  That is obviously the problem, its in the correct directory though.

If it is there then you probably have a mod overwriting it so trying with a barebones install or looking through you mods for which have a \skse\plugin\SexLabUtil.dll would be the next step

The problem is not files missing, it's the files being incompatible. If as you say you have a Skyrim SE with a product version of 1.6.+ something, you should not be using Sexlab 163. I don't know how else to say this.
