So, I've managed to port a model into the switch version, but I've encountered a problem, if you try to replace more than one main model at all, the game crashes (metaverse outfits should work), so you can only have one modded model at a time for now (something that doesn't happen if you use multiple vanilla models instead, I've tested it). The key is downscaling the model textures to half, or at least that worked for me (replacing the textures with the vanilla ones if you've dumped the game and then only downscaling the nude textures also works). Haven't tested with other characters or in real hardware. The model goes in "BASE/MODEL/CHARACTER/0008"

How can you downscale the model textures? My Yuzu only start game when i delete all GND file of main model. For full body nude only active with Yasogami set - -

What I did was I used GFD Studio to dump all textures of the model, then you can use an image editor of your choice that supports .dds files to reduce the resolution by half, and finally port them back with GFD Studio again. If you have your game files dumped, you can also dump the original textures of a model with GFD Studio (in this case futaba's hair and tshirt from the original C0008_004_00.GMD file, including shadows and other stuff), replace those texture files on the modded model instead, and only dump and downscale the nude textures (being futaba_bod.dds and bodyshadowmap25.dds in my case)

But yeah, for some reason modding main models are more prone to crash than metaverse outfits and I can't find the reason why, for now I've only managed to have one main model modded at a time

UPDATE: So, I've managed to have three modded main models at a time (here spawned with amicitia mod menu and loaded via https://github.com/Raytwo/p5rcbt, but patching a .cpk should have the same effect. also the other two models are some mix-n-match I did toying with 3DS MAX), done via downscaling the nude textures to a quarter this time so my theory now is that:

a) Main model files should not exceed a certain file size
b) Modded main files combined should not exceed a certain file size

Here is the file if you want to try it, if you are gonna use Raytwo's loader, the main folder should be "MODEL" and not "BASE", I will be doing some more testing

Well here it is, the Futaba pack for P5R switch, using some custom models I mix-matched with OP's model and the original meshes, all of them are heavily downscaled but should still look fine in game, if you don't like my custom models (because of clipping or other issues due to me being a noob on 3dsmax), loungewear botomless (C0008_051_00.GMD) uses the original modded files with downscaled textures so you can replace the ID with the main model of your choice and it should work (If don't, try downscaling the textures even more so the file is around 2.5mb)

Metaverse outfits uses the original mod's textures since the game for some reason can handle those but not on the main models, if a patch is out that lets you use those files for the main models, then this mod should be completely useless, but this is my solution for now (And yes, I've tried the 6gb DRAM patch for Ryujinx). Any model that replaces a metaverse suit you don't like, refer to this guide as always (https://amicitia.miraheze.org/wiki/Persona_5_Royal/dataR.cpk/model/character, althrough Futaba doesn't appear in the metaverse that much anyways)

I'll try to do the same to other characters, or you can create your own by downscaling the textures as I said, but I hope someone with better knowledge of the game can check the possible file size problem of modding the main models. (Why not full nude? because the mod has terrible shoulder animation problems on the switch and I'm trash at weight painting)

Anyone can do something similar? https://www.nexusmods.com/persona5strikers/mods/2

Some of the girls could really need to be a bit more thick!! (Ann, Makoto, Tae, Sadayo, Kasumi)

Some Persona/boss/mosnter could also win to get few texture edits...
I know the mod is for Striker, but it's probably the same engine and tools, im ready to support a creator for something like that.

I've been asking for it for a long time,

but they won't make it because it's technically difficult or it doesn't suit the modeler's taste.

Asking for... what for a long time? I'm just seeing a picture of Best Girl next to Joker.

Also, keep in mind that people who are making these mods and releasing them here for free have the right to refuse any request.

 - If it is too difficult

 - - Or even if it is too easy

 - If it would take too long

 - - Or even if it would take them literally three minutes to make it

 - If it isn't to their tastes

 - Even if they simply just don't wanna

 - - Or even if they just don't feel like it for any reason whatsoever

Theeeeeeeeeeeeen

You need to accept that. If anything, you should thank them for considering it and move on.

After asking once and not getting it if one thing; but "asking for a long time" and then trying to shame someone as they "won't make it because it's technically difficult or it doesn't suit their taste" means you have DEMANDS.

If you have DEMANDS for mods to be made, then your only options are to put payment on the table, via commission or something, or just do it yourself. Well, a third option would be to shut up because no one cares about your demands for free labor.

This is why everyone is kind and they nicely put out some suggestions or ask kindly for something. If people who make these mods listened to every single request that came to their way, they wouldn't have time to breathe.

Finally, I hate your passive-aggressive, entitled tone.

Thanks for coming to my TEDtalk.

I might try messing with modding too since there is a nice tutorial. You'd think a game as popular as persona would have more mods but if you look on nexus they basically don't exist.

Don't know why Nexus is so dry but gamebanana has quite a few mods on it.

As a side note, although English is probably the basic language on this site, don't forget that the game itself is made in Japan.

wait....what?

i'm new to modding community but i'm pretty sure there's no correlation between modding and where's the game is made

以前質問しましたが、翻訳をそのままコピーペーストしているだけなので文章が攻撃的だったら申し訳ない。

I asked this question before, but I'm just copy-pasting the translation verbatim, so I apologize if the text is offensive.

Even if u used a translator, this sentence is simply wrong. People that mod a game usually do it for free, so you shouldnt complain that they are not listening to your request for whatever reason your head might think.  You complained about something you shouldnt, not the translator.

BTW, I just started using these mods, work like a charm!

Please include your sentence in Japanese. It will help.

There are countless spaces on the internet that talk about products not made in the country of the people talking about them. The English-speaking world includes far more than one country or culture. Generally, many people appreciate Japan as the country of origin for producing wonderful games. Many of these people also are happy to have conversation with people who do not speak English. Due to the languages being so different, the perception of requests can come off as disrespectful commands. It takes some amount of adjustment for both sides to understand the mentality of the other side.

Most people who come here are not capable of producing mods. They are simply interested in witnessing the development of mods. An open request to the community, which can possibly be interpreted as a command, can reach people who are not generating the content, and the only response such people can have is to have a negative response.

Please just give some consideration to both sides so that we can all get along.

I keep Refreshing this topic to see if someone adds a mod to make Persona's nude like Succubus or Angel with their tights removed to turned into more skimpy lingerie and bondage.

Could someone post fake-Ann's model from Kamoshida's castle, p5r c0004_073_00.GMD?

Then we could replace an outfit with that model.

Thanks!
