I set the ESL flag when I finished with development. During development, this makes my life just more complicated.

It is probably finished when I release MariaEden which is heavily based on the items in this mod.

I made the last versions plugin light, didn't install this version so far, but it should work. You probably need to compact it first though.

As for the LO change, true, but so does (to an extend) every new non-light esp, unless you add them to the very end of your LO. Generally speaking, there are people who make it a mantra that changing the LO is bad. I agree with that as far as removing mods is involved (for different reasons though), but adding an esm/esp should not normally cause any problems, of course no promises. The exception might be if you've some mods installed who do things in a very bad way (i.e. basically do something like not their own (or a dependencies) position in the LO on first start and then store that information somewhere never to be updated. Do such mods exist? Likely, are they common ... not really I guess. That stated your way is certainly saver. So if you really, really care about your save, stick with it.
(That stated, this also requires you to never, ever use any autosort, be it loot or Vortex (which is also loot under the hood), as there is no guarantee it will sort them 100% the same every time. Any time Loots masterlist gets updated there is a fair chance that another sorting will change the LO.)

Last time I checked, while the CK won't handle light flagged plugins (esm or esp) well and will gleefully add new records outside the permitted range it did handle esl plugins gracefully.

I've converted it to a Light Master and a least for the CowBell it works fine 😉 *klinkklonkklonk*

From your screen shoot I fail to see where MO2 complains about a missing esp? It says it can't find LoreFriendlyToys.esm so that appears not to be deployed?

Ah, that one, missed that, sorry. Appears you want Lore Friendly Toys for Toys and Love. The current version isn't compatible with Toys and Love anymore (the name and stuff are just leftovers from back when it was).
You will want one of the older versions, I believe 1.05 was the last one compatible with Toys and Love. Zaira changed it to DD's in 2024.
