Extensible Follower Framework Issue

I know I should probably post this on Nexus, but my load order is NSFW so I figured it might be better here.

 

I'm having issues where when I speak to my followers with EFF installed, it sometimes takes a really long time when I click on the Inventory, Equipment, or Talk choice on the EFF wheel for those things to come up.  I can go to earlier saves where it works, but that's usually just minutes or hours earlier.  I can also start a new game and it works fine.

 

The thing is, even if I go to earlier saves, eventually it has this problem, too.  Has anyone else had this issue before?  I'm attaching my load order in case that helps.  It's been sorted with LOOT.  Despite what that list looks like, I only have 243 active plugins, some of them, when instructed by the mod author, have been unchecked. I've also cleaned the save which didn't help.  I also re-installed EFF. This is on save 740 or so and I've deleted old saves.  I have less than 100 saves sitting in the load list because I learned with modding to save every couple of minutes.

 

I'm level 41 and not tremendously far into the game quest wise. Help would be appreciated.

How long have you been using EFF for? I would honestly suggest switching over to Nether's Follower Framework since EFF will start to have some issues over time, namely problems with followers losing inventory items and becoming naked when dismissed.

In regards to this playthrough, I've been using it the whole time since I started using mods on the game.  I'll try Nether's.

Have you tried cleaning your current save with ReSaver?

How many items are in their inventory or equipment list when clicking on them?

 

The more items you stuff into a container (and think of your followers inventory like a container) the longer it will take to open.
