Ratchex Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 Alright, so after discovering this sight last night I've been hard at work trying to convert to using the Sexout plugins. After a few hours of trying to maintain my save, I abandoned it entirely and started anew. Then, after disabling every single mod I had other than the DLCs, Sexout, SexoutCommonResources, and SexoutSharedResources, it still CTD'd every time. So I went to the extreme and started from scratch. I deleted the entire Fallout: New Vegas Steam directory, re-downloaded everything, and followed the beginner's guide to installing Sexout to the letter. My current load order is , and it still crashes to desktop when I start a new game. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.
BruceWayne Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 Try starting your game with no sexout mods enabled. After you've finished character creation you can enable them again. I think I've had the same problem, last time I've started a new game.
Ratchex Posted July 21, 2013 Author Posted July 21, 2013 Try starting your game with no sexout mods enabled. After you've finished character creation you can enable them again. I think I've had the same problem, last time I've started a new game. Tried, walked outside Doc Mitchell's house, and tried to enable everything, to no avail. I went though and disabled each mod I had one by one, and the Sexout.esm was the one causing the problem. Just in case I have a corrupted file I'm going to try and reinstall the base file. Edit: Nope, CTD. I would rather not delete and reinstall everything again, but if shit's borked, shit's borked.
Ratchex Posted July 21, 2013 Author Posted July 21, 2013 Make sure you have NVSE 3b2 installed. Holy shit, NVSE was outdated. I... I think I love you.
RitualClarity Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 Before you get too far into using Sexout try changing out your mod manager for FOMM. I am told that it is the one that works with Sexout. NMM sometimes gives strange issues. I have been using FOMM with FNV Sexout mods and haven't had the issues that others have. Have fun.
visby Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 I also strongly recommend using the NVSE compatible 4gb patch http://nvse.silverlock.org/beta/fnv4gb_nvse.zip . Since using that I've had no CTD or black skin bugs. Also I use Mod organizer for my mod manager whats nice is no matter how much you mod up your game you can still run a completely vanilla install of the game. This also lets you reinstall the game without having to reinstall your mods or vice versa.
