God damn http://www.loverslab.com/topic/3322-how-to-install-sexout/ and http://www.loverslab.com/topic/16277-sexoutng-framework-installation-guide-for-beginners/

I was doing the first one until step 7 and saw the insane list of extra steps for that, then checked the second link to see it's a different method of installing, even for installing the BNB body plugin.

I'm trying to read the readme over here guys but you gotta read the readme on how to write a readme! Or you can just tell me to go away, I'll uninstall new vegas and just watch porn that's fine too and I already expect that to happen. But oh shit I've been trying to play sexout for years though and I finally built a top of the line computer and I was really hoping there would just be a damn sexout.exe by now. Yeah I know all the different things are updated at different times but you could make a program that downloads all the mods and updates them since like two of those already exist called NMM and FOMM but those aren't for sexout. Of course I didn't make a backup of new vegas before starting on that first tutorial because I thought by now ya'll would have the installion instructions down but before I delete it all and start re-downloading new vegas I'll wait to see if someone tells me that tutorial is right and the other is wrong or if everyone just calls me a troll and tells me to fuck off which is how it usually goes in the forum world. Help me please.

They're both right. Bruce's beginners guide is easier to follow; the other one assumes a certain level of expertise (and may have a defunct link or 2). Step 7 in the short one, the SCR install, isn't mentioned in Bruce's though. There's a lot of stuff in the SCR requirements that's not strictly needed for a functioning sexout game (clothes etc) but it does mean that when you run a mod that puts those clothes etc into the game world, you'll have missing meshes and textures. That's not gamebreaking so there's no need to give up at this stage, but I have a feeling it could annoy you.

Sexout.exe - not likely to happen. Different authors, different permissions, too much trouble.

Never going to happen because we don't have permissions from all the authors to include the resources into one file, if there were a simpler way of doing it we'd be doing it. Your best bet is to just use Sexout & SSR mods rather than SCR to get the hang of things before installing/using more complex mods. Otherwise you will end up doing the usual newb thing of installing 30 mods in one hit because they have a download available, half of them incompatible/out of date without knowing what all of them do then start posting a dozen support questions about dialogue/quests etc in the wrong mod threads because of not without knowing which mod they are added by.

I don't know, the biggest difficulty of installing SCR, is not to forget one of the resources and the time it takes to collect them all. Installation is pretty straight forward if you've installed mods before, which we kind of assume that anyone has. And even if you haven't, there are tons of general tutorials around on how to install the most basic mods, sexout or not. I'm not going to write a guide covering each individual resource. And we don't really have to, since they all come with their own set of instructions.

And I don't really see how DoctaSax's/CK's instructions and mine are contradicting each other. There is more to their guide as it covers BnB installation as well, but technically that's not necessary to get sexout to run. So, anyone who has problems going along that guide should probably stick to the basics first.

I would follow Halstrom's advice and run with SSR and once you get the hang of it, take on the more complex mods.
