Interesting. I just reinstalled Bodyslide and rebuilt everything. Pulled up a random pair of shoes from Easy Girl, and when I checked for bad bones, this popped up... now it's giving different options, and I'm not at all sure which to pick. image.png.ad40912a6fa18e162ed1e6dff935ac6b.png

Are you sure the "bad bones" check is even telling you useful information?  I get the same results in OS when checking the default FusionGirl Nude body by itself in a barebones MO2 profile.

Also, double-check that you have the correct MTM installed for modern FG ("MTM 3B OCBP - OCBPC Physics and Collision Preset - Beta.7z").

Don't be so easily offended. - 🤣I'm Gen-X. No offense was taken. Just giving a little tit for tat. Definitely not interested in starting a pissing match.

The one i'm using, i got it from Maxie (SAM) but you can use the default zex skeleton.

This part blows my mind though. I've always just used the default skeleton in Bodyslide. I don't even have an option for a Zex Skeleton in Bodyslide: image.png.d2c72c5c2d5816c31c657bf0d1eaff4a.png

You say you got yours from SAM? How is it I've never heard about this, or seen it any of the times I've installed Zex or Fusion Girl. This seems like a thing that should be obvious. Did I simply miss it, or is it some obscure thing? So do I just copy/paste the skeleton.nif file from the CharacterAssets folder into the Bodyslide Res folder?

No. I'm not even a little bit sure.

All I know is that at least the last dozen or so crash logs I've gotten have all shown that cbp.dll is a problem, that skeleton.nif is a problem, and they all identify the same "Thigh_CBP_R_B_02" bone

Then when I open up... a shoe mesh, for example, and check for bad bones, invariably "Thigh_CBP_R_B_02" is one of the bones marked as bad.

Beyond that, I'm kind of whistling in the dark, looking for a light switch...

Setting aside @Karna5's snarky tone, they make a decent point that it could be my setup, but I can't for the life of me think what I would have done wrong. I've got the correct skeleton for FG....

*Nods* I'm kind of gruff sometimes. I don't mean it and apologize.

With regard to the photos you linked, I'm extremely vision impaired (legally blind) and can't read any of it. Sorry I can't speak to specifics.

But I can talk generally a bit on the ZEX skeleton and my experiences with it. I caught that you said you've been using ZEX since 2019? (That's great.)

As you probably know, there's been a few updates to ZEX since then. There was one update which was crashing me when I first installed it, so I didn't use it. But eventually I went back and updated to the latest version (ZeX - ZaZ Extended Skeleton at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com)) and am very stable with it.

I even still use BodyTalk 2, so the new version is reverse compatible with our old male bodies.

think the version which was unstable for me was one of the 5.0ish versions, but I've been on 6 long enough I can't quite remember.

Sorry I can't help more, but it sounds like you're at least dotting your i's correctly, Mr. Nicoras :)

Post Script: Wait, are you using OCBP or OCBPC? I use OCBPC without issues. You might want to make sure you're using the correct version of OCBP/OCBPC for the bodies you've installed. So if you're using Fusion Girl and BodyTalk, make sure you're using the FG OCBPC :)

Technically, you shouldn't care about that setting and leave it to default (or manually load the zex skeleton). Unless you are working on different races (other than default human/ghouls).

All good.

I'm currently using the most current versions of everything. That means Zaz Extended Skeleton v. 6, Fusion Girl-0223, and BodyTalk 3. Also, yes, I'm using OCBPC and MTM presets.  OCBPC version is 0.3-Zex4. It's the most recent version I found on the file page. MTM version 2.02, also the most current version.

That makes more sense. I'm not playing with any races other than what's in the base game.  And, as @spicydoritos mentioned, The broken bone thing in BodySlide could be completely unrelated. But it is super weird.

Actually I don't quite understand the bad bone check after OS update.
Judging from the update description.

"Check For Bad Bones" that lists inconsistent bone transforms with options for fixing them.

I don't understand what bone transforms is.

Then I found that when repairing manually, it has 2 options,

image.png.e9ba45c3e3c02a4bb205888bb1176fd7.png
I think that's probably the type of bone transformation it's talking about.
But what those mean is still not very clear to me, it seems that only someone with a deep understanding of the nif format can describe it.

And I didn't see any difference when the character wore it in the game.
The only interesting thing is:
Like the breast physical bones shown in the picture as bad bones.
When they are Bad Bones, the costumes appear the same on the game's mannequin as they do on the character.
When they were fixed, the clothing would droop badly on the game's mannequin like it was extremely low framerate.

Also, the "bad bones" that don't sag on the mannequin don't show any physical errors when my character wears them.

Therefore, for me personally, the meaning of this bad bone check and repair is to "make the clothing droop on the mannequin as if the frame rate is very low". 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Replying here since I'm unable to find a good thread for the fusion girl morph+ body specifically.

I'm trying to get this body to work on a few specific outfits which have reference bodies. As I understand I need to replace the reference body in outfit studio from Fusion Girl to Fusion Girl Morph+. This seems to work mostly, but I'm noticing some (not all) sliders are not copied from the original reference. These are specific sliders that "shift" some body parts, I assume so they don't load and hence don't clip through clothes? An example is feet that are now clipping through boots, and boobs that clip through clothes at certain size. Other sliders seem to function properly such as belly size.

I'm guessing the problem is that the sliders are specific to the reference body, with the original reference body gone the sliders can't find the associated vertices anymore (even if those in the new reference body are identical). I think my only option is to recreate these sliders in the new reference body, but if anyone has any idea on how to copy sliders from one reference body to the next, I would be very grateful (honestly I'm not sure I have the skills to replicate the original sliders).

It sounds to me like you're talking about Zap Sliders, which are used to hide body parts that would otherwise stick through the clothing mesh (i.e. feet inside shoes).  That's a common issue that appears when converting clothing between different bodies.

As far as I know you can't copy zap sliders when you replace the ref body.  However, it's quite easy to create new ones.  Grab one of the tutorials that discusses converting between body types, like CBBE to FG or whatever.  Those will tell you how to create new zap sliders.
