Where Can I Find...? - Non-adult Skyrim REQUESTS

im looking for a weather mod that doesnt really change the weather but just makes the storms alot more powerfull, skyrims "blizzards" and "storms" are just too weak. anyone know something?

You can try Pure Weathers (the new version is called Purity. It combines Pure Weather, Pure Water, and Pure Waterfalls into one). It adds different types of weather and looks better overall. You even get foggy days. The snow is better and the rain is better as well. It's more performance friendly than Climates of Tamriel, and in my opinion, looks nicer.

Otherwise, check out Climates of Tamriel and the Weather Patch with Supreme Storms and Expanded Snow Systems (CoT version). That'll make your storms more extreme. Snow will be major blizzards and rain will be downpours.

Or if you don't want Climates of Tamriel, just use Supreme Storms and Expanded Snow Systems on their own. They do a good enough job of making them more extreme so they won't be weak.

I have been browsing around a bit and havent found anything I truly liked.

Can anyone recommend a Vibrant looking ENB that does NOT require "specific" lighting and weather mods.

Mainly No Climates of Tamriel.

Preferably one with a good Cinematic/photographic DoF.

I am currently using this and its a quite bland.

I want my colors to pop a little more.

Try out Seasons of Skyrim ENB. Has great color and looks awesome. I stopped using it when I started using Relighting Skyrim + ELE and Pure Weathers cause it wasn't compatible. It doesn't require any lighting mods or weather mods.

It has optional DoFs in the optional section. I recommend the Soulwynd Enhanced DOF. Looks the best imo.

I actually have Relighting Skyrim and ELE as well. no Pure Weathers (I dont have a weather mod, yet). what ENB are you using?

I worded my question the way I did because it seemed that almost everything I found on nexus required or recommended CoT, and i personally dont really like CoT.

I currently use Vividian ENB (Vivid version), the older one not the new beta version. I use that with Pure Weathers, Pure Waters and Pure Waterfalls. I tried the new beta version which supports Purity (all those Pure weather stuff merged), but it made everything blurry and hazy, so just stuck with the older version.

Using that with Pure Weathers (which is a great weather mod if you want to avoid CoT. Very performance friendly and not script heavy), I selected the Brighter interiors and Brighter Exteriors option and it looks great. But Vividian ENB also supports vanilla weathers as well if you didn't want to get Pure Weathers.

I will try vividian without Pure Weathers first. I am not sure how close to my games limit i am at right now.

And I have had a crappy PC rig for so long I no longer know how my new rig stands up to skyrim

My new rig

4 GB 8 core amd

geforce gtx 970 (4 GB)

16 GB ram

Oh psh. You'll have no problems running some of the higher end ENBs with a rig like that.

My rig is old school lol:

Windows 7 64-bit SP1

AMD Athlon II X4 645 Processor 3.10ghz

Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 2GB

4GB Ram

And I run tons of HD texture mods, scripted mods, 150+ mods, major overhauls (Expanded Towns and Cities, Dawn of Skyrim, SFO, SMIM, Tamriel Reloaded, etc), and of course that ENB above with Relighting Skyrim + ELE and Pure Weather. And I run at good times, 40 fps, rarely dropping below 25 fps.

You can look in my signature at my Character Gallery to see how my game looks with all that on my system.

So yeah..... you're good. :P

Not too hard, just know your limits is all. I use performance textures on most of my stuff. Mostly 1k or if I can't get that, 2k. If a mod actually has performance textures, use them. The quality is barely noticeable and it helps. Then I also use things like SMCO to optimize all my textures and BSA textures. That will give you a big performance increase there.

There is also mods that were designed to help stability in your game. Such as stable ugridstoload, Project Optimization, even Performance Plus. I recommend that last one as it changes the tiny little things like raindrops, snowflakes, pin needles, and aspen leaves to really small sizes without any noticeable quality loss. And it's an FPS increase, so yay!

I don't use Depth of Field in any ENB, I prefer Dynavision set to Static at 1.0 scale. It looks way better in my opinion and gives you a performance boost to boot (Depth of Field is a performance eater. If you can't live without it, turn it off during normal gameplay and then turn it on during screenshots).

Find an ENB that suits you. I know everyone wants a super flashy ENB that eats their system, but find something more subtle and not so game killing. Too much effects are overkill, so avoid the heavy ones and try some of the rare gems. Things like Project ENB, Vividian ENB, and a few others are great for looks and performance. If you want pure performance, check out RealLike ENB. Then adjust your AA via Nvidia Control Panel, as it looks better any ways.

Clean your mods! And use unoffical patches! This helps a lot as well. Same with proper load order and avoiding conflicts. Take good care of your game, and it will take care of you. Make sure your load order is just right, don't just go with what LOOT or BOSS gives you. Fine tune it yourself. And use TES5Edit to clean those dirty edits out! I keep my mods updated all the time when I can, so I can avoid old versions causing bugs as well. As well, try to avoid too many scripted mods. They can slow your game down just as much as any graphic overhaul. A few here and there are fine, but don't go overboard.

Lastly, follow this guide. Skyrim Project Stability.

This will help you setup your computer for better performance overall with everything. From cleaning your old files, defrag, scans, disabling services, etc. This will help your computer as a whole run much better.

When I play Skyrim, or anything for that matter, I have nothing running on my computer. Seriously, the bare bones. Go to your windows search, and find "msconfig". This will show you all the programs that are starting up on your computer when you start it. You don't need all that. Seriously the only stuff I have running on my computer at all times is:

-Windows Explorer

-Nvidia stuff (NO GEFORCE EXPERIENCE. Junk it)

-Avast Antivirus

That's it. Literally. Because that is all you need running. If you need a pretty desktop, keep the Desktop Window Manager. Otherwise, anything else is just clutter that is using up memory. So uncheck those boxes so that stuff doesn't start up every time you start your computer.

And clean your old files! Don't leave old uninstalled folders laying around taking up space. If you uninstalled something, then delete the left overs. Another thing, delete your temp folders. In C:\Windows\Temp\ there is a ton of junk to delete in there. Always clean it out. As well, in C:\User\AppData\Local\Temp\ is even more junk to clean out and delete. Keep those folders clean from piled up junk.

Okay enough blah blah from me, but just check that out. SMCO most importantly. Use it to optimize your textures and bsas. And that Project Stability page as well. It'll help you optimize your computer.

Hope all that helps. :)

Thanks for the info :P i have actually already done every single on of those things LMAO. Except the dynavision thing as i don't like it because it causes bloom with some of the enbs i use.

Yeah if you're going to use Dynavision, use Static, not Dynamic. Dynamic does that weird blur bloom effect that I can't stand lol. It looks fine up close, but for normal gameplay, I don't like it. I stick with Static at 1.0 as it is just enough blur in the distance to not be intrusive.

I don't like Depth of Field for one simple fact. When on Horseback, my character is dead center and it blurs everything around me, making it hard to see anything. And of course, the fps drop it causes.

On another note, one other thing I just remembered. Probably already knew this, but if you ever uninstall scripted mods and such, clean your save with Save Game Script Cleaner. It gets rid of those orphaned scripts that mods leave behind.

But yeah, otherwise, if you already do all that, then not sure what else to tell ya. That's pretty much all I do lol. I just know my limits and how far I can push my game. I get at times some stuttering when I enter heavy load areas, but it's mostly smooth game play.

Vividian actually works really well and looks very close to what I wanted.

I need to play with DoF a little bit, I chose the photographic DoF and Skyrim looks amazing but my character is a little too blurry.

Also I wish I could get light sources (and flame spells) to glow a little more. Anyone know what I can change for this?

Is there a working version for this: http://static-7.nexusmods.com/15/mods/110/images/28978-1-1427913770.jpgLike complete with walking and sprinting and not just for screenshots? I recall seeing a video here of someone using it.

That's what the screenshot is from, yes. I've tried all the 1hm hkx files I could find in the 2 main files. It doesn't have it. That's why I'm asking. I've seen it being used on a video posted somewhere in this forum a while back.

Where can i find a Long Hair Mod, no ponytail?

Uhmm, with short front and long back hair, with no ponytail. For example is Momoyo, Kazuko (when no ponytail), and Koyuki from Majikoi. U'll get the picture immediately if u search google.

i've downloaded SG hair pack 268, KS hairdos, Apachii, etc, i have over 700 hairs, but none of them has it. most of them are long hair on front and back, or short front, long back, but with ponytail. anyone has the hair that i seek? give me the link pls. thx a lot!!

Edit : NVM i already found, appear to be in KS hairdos 400 hair pack. When i download KS hairdos back then, it was still only 265 and it appears the hair i seek for years are on KS hairdos 400. thx a lot KS! ur hairs are the best!! sadly it's not exist on nexus anymore.....
