chajapa Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 Nuked previous anniversary edition install. Cleared the directory and reinstalled fresh. First thing I did was downgrade to 1.5.97 Not going to reinstall Creation Kit until I have SE running again properly. SKSE seems pretty straightforward. I need the 2.0.20 version for SE 1.5.97 SKYUI is a bit puzzling. 5.2SE or 5.1SE? Version 5.1SE - Requires SKSE64 2.0.2 alpha or newer and and Skyrim 1.4.2. I have SKSE 2.0.20 but my SE version is 1.5.97 Version 5.2SE - Requires SKSE64 2.0.4 alpha or newer and and Skyrim 1.5.3. I have a higher SE version but I don't see anything about SKSE 2.0.4 alpha anywhere. Which one should I be installing? Racemenu has the anniversary edition version as its main download. Is the 0-4-9 version the one I want for SE 1.5.97? My plan is: SKSE Back up Update.esm, Dawnguard.esm, Hearthfires.esm and Dragonborn.esm, then QuickAutoclean with SSEdit Then SkyUI SkyUI Flashing save game fix UIExtensions PapyrusUtils Jcontainers Address Library for SKSE Engine Fixes RaceMenu FNIS Sound about right? If I could get some clarification on SkyUI and Racemenu, I'd appreciate it. I don't want to go through this again if I can help it

chajapa Posted May 28, 2022 Author Posted May 28, 2022 I am finding that while Engine Fixes works fine, Bug Fixes does not. It complains about an incorrect SKSE library file when I know I have the correct SKSE and Library. Apparently Bug Fixes is compiled for a very specific executable and my 1.5.97 apparently ain't it.

Just Don't Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 There are two files for Bug Fixes, verify you're using the correct one. I have no problem using the Special Edition file on my 1.5.97 game / 2.0.20 SKSE.

I have no problem using the Special Edition file on my 1.5.97 game / 2.0.20 SKSE. yes, I'm being careful to look for 1.5.97 versions. I may activate it again just to see the exact error message, but it said I didn't have the correct libraried. It seemed to be looking for versionlib-1-5-97-0, but the file names for the libraries for 1.5.97 are version-1-5-97-0, not versionLIB. I checked the AE libraries and those use versionlib file names. I have the correct SKSE version as confirmed by going to console and using getskseversion. Checked my library file and the version-1-5-97-0 library is in there. I'll check again when I get home.
chajapa Posted May 30, 2022 Author Posted May 30, 2022 Well... for whatever reason, Bug Fixes started working with no errors. I didn't change anything. Continuing on...
