about "Power of Now:" i guess isn’t exactly about try to make us be in the present so much as to help the reader realise that we always (unavoidably) are. it’s actually a good book by the way; i only wish Tolle's publishers would release a version repackaged for a non-New Agey audience. the book has nothing for a rationalist-atheist-sceptic to object to, and much from which they (we, i guess) might benefit.

even though the UTC standard has been around since the Sixties (i just read its final definition occurred in 1972 — before i was even born), i still refer to it as GMT. :P old habits do die hard, i think.
