ppp Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 It occurs to me that while the Prostitute's Guild is canon, I don't think I've ever seen a mod that really takes advantage of it. The PC prostitution mods I've seen assume the PC is a freelancer and so are the NPCs. Is there even a brothel mod outside of Gweden?
fejeena Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 https://www.loverslab.com/topic/95242-lovers-prostitute-v-24-dukkyfeej-version/ You have street whores in Imperial City and Leyawiin. One travelling male prostitute, he works in inns of different towns. In other cities, the prostitutes work in inns and you have to rent a room. And in Anvil you have a brothel with 3 prostitutes. And all prostitutes in the Mod are in the same faction ( but not a guild you can join ) -------------- Yes Lovers hooker is a freelancer Mod. But this also allows you to work in other countries, worldspaces add by Mods. ---------------- There was a brothel Mod, a brothel outside of Skingrad, but no Lovers Mod and you could not join.. There was an old Lovers Mod by galgat with a brothel you could join ( in the Imperial City ) , but again no real work inside the brothel. And Sexlivion, with a brothel... but the player worked outside ( Sexlivion for boys and girls) And the brothel never had any customers. --- And I don't think anyone wants to be in the brothel all the time. With all other guilds you are always on the move. There are only a few quests that take place in a guild building.
ppp Posted April 17, 2022 Author Posted April 17, 2022 You wouldn't necessarily have to be in the Brothel all the time. You can take Fighters Guild-type jobs or be a mage or thief without being a member of the respective Guild but there are benefits to joining. The Prostitutes Guild could be the same. In real life, Guilds looked unfavorably on freelancers, but not in the Elder Scrolls, it seems.
LongDukDong Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Excuse me? I just saw this was a link to the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Page and ... A FREAKING GUILD SANCTIONED? From the History of the Fighter's Guild??? Quote In the 321st year of the 2nd Era, the Potentate gave his approval to the Guilds Act, officially sanctioning the Mages, together with the Guilds of Tinkers, Cobblers, Prostitutes, Scribes, Architects, Brewers, Vintners, Weavers, Ratcatchers, Furriers, Cooks, Astrologers, Healers, Tailors, Minstrals, Barristers, and the Syffim. It's been there all this time???
fejeena Posted April 18, 2022 Posted April 18, 2022 (edited) Of course, it's one of the oldest professions. The Book: The Mystery of Princess Talara, Part IV ( a book in Morrowind , Oblivion and Skyrim ) BOOK:0002440A https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Mystery_of_Talara,_v_4 Edited April 18, 2022 by fejeena
LongDukDong Posted April 18, 2022 Posted April 18, 2022 (edited) Quote The Prostitutes Guildhouse of Camlorn was a great palace in an affluent northern quarter of the city. Prince Sylon could have found his way there blindfolded, or blind drunk as he often was. A freakin' Prostitute Palace in a major city? Perhoops that could be a fun mod on its own. If the next TES game involves High Rock and has Camlorn still (This shot is from ARENA), we gotta make sure that Palace is still there. Edited April 18, 2022 by LongDukDong

LongDukDong Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 One could have instances where they may have dealings with Anvil's Chapel of Dibella.... whether for good or bad... or sadness if Knights of the Nine was installed. That, or dealings with Sanguine for the serious parties. That, being an additional bit of fun besides dealing with the lore. And one could use both of those for quest ideas. Yes, I still think about it. But biding time.
