Guest Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 > My Prince installed Skyrim LE for our acquaintance on his request. My prince installed IAFT and RDO on the top of it. All unique and custom made followers levels up with player, but Vanilla followers, doesn't. (He hired Ysolda, later on Ahlam and Nivenor from Riften just to test it. None of them leveled up). Is there a way or mod that do that since IAFT obviously doesn't work properly in this area. And yes, he installed Nether's follower framework mod that work, but it is too complicated to tweak and to use for our acquaintance.

If you don't know already I solve most of these problems using the console. In this case the command you want is: setlevel <multiplier> <modifier> <min> <max> Set NPC level Just like other target commands, type prid <RefID> of an actor/NPC first. If you prefer to click on the NPC while in the command console, make sure the ID you see is of the targeted NPC and not an object. If you input setlevel 1000 0 1 100 that NPC will be equal level you are and will level with you up to level 100 and will start at level 1 if you're level 1. Variable Description <multiplier> Determines the base level in terms of the player's current level. Specified in tenths of a percent (i.e. 1000 means 100%, 500 means 50%). <modifier> This number is added to the base level determined by <multiplier>. Can be negative or zero. <min> The minimum level of the NPC (must be at least 1). <max> The maximum level of the NPC (at most 100, unless you have patch v1.9 patch or use the level uncapper mod).
Grey Cloud Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 I would think that the problem is because vanilla followers use Skyrim's follower system.

Will proceed this pic to my beloved

These are not vanilla followers. They're just city dwellers that aren't designed for combat, so they were never supposed to level up. You can easily change this with xEdit. Notice the difference between Ysolda and a follower: Spoiler You should probably make a patch rather than editing any existing ESPs from your replacers or whatever, so copy her record as an override into a new ESP-FE. Then just add the missing flag. Spoiler After that, you probably want to set the Level Mult to 1, and maybe you want to tweak the min/max levels while you're at it. Spoiler And since, again, these are not NPCs who were originally intended as co-combatants, their skills are also quite weak for that purpose, so you might also want to give them a more suitable class while you're at it. Spoiler

Fiend71 Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 Just throwing out here, but I'd say to stick with NFF personally. I used AFT for a while, and while it does do a lot, and I almost preferred the UI, NFF does so much more, IMO, and as I'm sure you and/or your Prince already know. It's worth the added "learning". Perhaps Prince could set up a profile for it that can be loaded for any new game thereafter...A short tutorial on specific followers would be all that would be needed at that point. Anyhow, just a thought.
