If it's just to move the mesh without adding or removing geometry I'll do some scren of my workflow to export character.

To add geometry, you have to go through the weightpaint box and make sure to modify the associated vertex group, but there are plenty of other parameters to take into account to do something correct.

I would do a tutorial of my workflow after Repanse or maybe later since it might take me hours.

(you have to select the animrote and the armature before the export?)

However, don't use someone else's mode, you won't get anywhere with this method.

I finally finished the armor and these animations so that each of the pieces fits correctly into the others like metallic elements without overlapping and redid the textures for a better rendering. I also made pretty hair and eyes and a new sword.

Still the facial animation to refine, she screams a lot and I would like it to be clean on the side.

I tried to edit the N'kari model but when i try to load it my game just crashes.

 

Here's what I did:

  1. First, I extracted the rmv2 file from the original game's .pack file using Asset Editor.
  2. Next, I opened the rmv2 file with QtRME (latest version 0.4.9), and exported it as an fbx file.
  3. I then loaded that file into Blender,moved and scaled some vertices around just to test.
  4. After I was done with that, I exported the edited file again as an fbx and loaded it with QtRME.
  5. In QtRME i selected the correct skeleton and hit "export to RMV2". I got a simplygon error and it asked me to save 4 identical LODs instead. I clicked "yes" to proceed.
  6. Then, I loaded the edited RMV2 file into an existing pack made by someone else which I know works. I only replaced the existing dae_nkari_01.rigid_model_v2 model file with mine and pointed all the textures to it.
  7. Finally, I saved it as a .pack file and put it into my data folder.
  8. I load my game, enable my mod using the vanilla TW mod manager and game starts normally. But as soon as i want to start a battle my game crashes at the end of the loadscreen.

 

Did i do anything wrong or have i missed something? Would be very glad for any help if someone knows.

I just finished fixing the blood not showing on armor and body and fixing some issues with the mount.
I still have the optimization to do.

You can test while waiting which is not optimizing at all.
This is the full file not yet optimized with excessive resolutions as well as the number of polygons but all the animations work perfectly.

I have a small connection so I cut the archive otherwise the transfer crashes.

For the sword I made another one with a much lower polygon count since I already broke the recommended limit and I still have the mount to add.

I finished the horse, the animations, the optimization of all that, I still have to finalize the armor and it should be good for a first update.

the horse is almost finished but none of the animations work in games, it moves but like a static mesh, while in asset editor everything is fine, I can't find the source of the problem, someone has already had this problem with assets imported from scratch?

zeta0080 I got to say, I love the additition of leg armour for these and other rosters. The units look great. They also visually look like a step up from their lesser armoured, lower tier sisters.

Have you generated the game's dependency cache? If not, then it won't be able to update tables. It should be one of the first warnings you see which you can resolve by double clicking on it.

I have absolutly no idea of what you are saying, I dont know how to mod at all, I just understand somehow how to do some edit of tables in RPFM - to have an idea of how stupid I am  ?

I started the horse from scratch and I just finished the animations I still have a few small problems to fix on the armor and convert the reliefs to normal map to divide the polycount by four or five without loss of quality and that should be good.

Same treatment for repanse, the textures on the image are halved and I redid the UVs and a good part of the animations of the body, I still have to do the upper part, especially the shoulders which are not great.

I'm working on two other modes at the same time which are progressing well now, hence the time of absence, more info soon, have a nice weekend.

So, finally finished.

I had to redo the animations of the horse several times, I corrected all the small bugs with the armor or the parts of the body crossed the metal and I redid the shoulder pads.

For the sword I chose something simple but pretty, hope you like it.

(there are two modes, one with retouched armor and another without armor) mdp sulivar.
