Unreal Engine 5 open world playable demo mod potential?

The Matrix Awakens UE5 demo has been released as a playable open world. I am no developer but am curious about UE5 moddability and how LL modding community feel about the demo's potential as a base?

thanks for sharing, didn´t know about this. the demo was released in december 2021 but there is no pc version..and probably won´t be any.... kind of a safeguard for epic

In the sea of many subscription based pay use to dev games I can see most using UE5 as a reason  to delay and already drawn out system of gabbing money from users and barely doing any updates.

So my thoughts are, UE5 is really amazing after using UE4 for little over a year. They have made it even easier to get into dev with all the pre done systems and ease of access features in UE5, unreal 4 had alot of ease of access but UE5 is on another level. Then it has nanite and lumen which makes even the most new developer look like they have good in game lighting out the box. I know ue4 had gpu light mass plugin but it was nothing like UE5s lighting systems power. 

So even if your not into making games downloading the UE5 engine and just playing with stuff in real time for lighting and such is so neat there starting games / packs that show case some features is also fun like the matrix game but Unreal has some pre set up games to demo for game design as well "Lyra Starter Game".

In conclusion you will see many terrible porn games, that suck money from wallets like an EX with child support and you will see amazing things from Devs that care about what they do as well in the near future.

Movies can be made with some kind of dev kit for ue5 too right? I found some youtube videos showing off this tech over the last few months.

How hard it is legally and technically for a developer to make a AAA game in UE5 and provide a tool to modders to leverage UE5 to the extent of Bethesda has with Creative Engine?
