Devious Sounds V 1.2

View File

New chain rattle sounds. Compatible with previous version 1.0. Does not require a new game when updating from 1.0.

Description:

Adds new sound to Devious Devices. Player will occasionally make sounds while wearing certain Devices. Sound volume and frequency (how often will they be played) can be adjusted in Devious Sound MCM. Some Devices have several sound types from which to choose. Audio is taken from various adult-oriented videos and differs is quality. To prevent overlapping sounds won't play during SexLab scenes, while Player is bleeding and in some other cases.

Supported Devices:

Gags - gagged moan;

Gasmasks - heavy breathing;

Other Devices - Chain rattle.

Gags are divided into 2 categories - Ball and Ring gags. Ball Gags include balls, pony bits and closed panel gags; Ring gags - rings and open panel gags. Each category can be customized separately in MCM. Additionally, player can select different sounds to be played while PC is aroused.

Cuffs, armbinders, collars and other Devices can make chain rattling sounds while player is walking, sprinting or jumping. Chain rattle can attract enemies.

MCM Settings:

Gag Page:
Idle Settings - Default settings that will be used in normal conditions.

Arousal Settings - When PC is aroused these sound and settings will be used.

Unequipping Sound - A special sound will be played when PC removes her gag.

On Hit Settings - "On hit" sounds are played when PC is wearing a gag and being hit by actors or creatures. Does not play if PC is hit by various whips from ZAZ Animation Pack or Deviously Cursed Loot (got something else in mind for that)

Gasmask Page:

Gasmask Settings - Default settings that will be used in normal conditions.

Enable Exhaustion - Enable/Disable Exhaustion effect. PC will play faster breathing sounds while sprinting or being low on stamina.

Chains Page:

Heavy Bondage, Collar, etc. - Choose which Device types can play chain rattling noises.

      Disable - Disable chain noises for this Device type;

Allow preselected - only Devices hand picked by mod author can make noises. (I've tried to pick Devices that have some visible chains, buckles or moving metallic parts, something that realistically should make noises).

Allow All - All Devices of this type will make noises.

Enable Heavy Chains - Allow chain rattle noise ONLY for Devices with long visible chains. Only a handful Devices have chains like this (mostly created by Heretic).

Alert Enemies Page:

Detection Range - From how afar can hostile NPCs hear player made noises.

Alert enemies on Gag sounds - Hostile NPC will react on player gag moans.

Alert enemies on Chain sounds - Hostile NPC will react on chain rattle.

Localisation Page:

Currently empty.

Requirements:

1) SKSE

2) SexLab

3) Devious Devices 5.0 and higher

Changes in 1.0:

1) Adds 2 new gagged moan variations, making it 5 total.

2) Decreased Exhaustion Effects last stage base duration from 30 to 15 seconds.

3) In addition to time limit, Exhaustion Effects last stage will stop if player fully recovers stamina.

I'd love to give this a shot, but is there any intention on making it work with SE?

 Same here.

Honestly speaking I don't know whether it works on SE or not. I don't have Special Edition. Someone will need to confirm it.

I installed it on SE.

The MCM appears and looks OK

The test sounds play, and you can change the selected set

Not seen yet how it works in game with the player or NPCs

It doesn't work on NPCs. Player only.

OK! Just wishful thinking, I suppose ?

Anyway, (only been able to test further with Ring Gag Idles option), I think it works OK.

One query, though.   I'm not sure exactly which sound from the set selected in the MCM I am supposed to hear - looking at the mod file, there are a number of sounds in each set.  Does it use a randomly selected sound from within each set's options, each time it 'plays' in game?  Or something else?

FWIW, and by way of observation only - certainly not a complaint as your mod is a step up on what else is available out there! - I also have breathing sound effects active from the 'Dripping when Aroused' mod.  They're continuous and sound like they are 'in my head' - so to speak - but these gag sounds - at least some of those that I did hear in my very limited check - feel as if they are trailing along somewhere behind 'me'.

Hope these random jottings are helpfu

Yes, game will pick a random sound from selected set (aka type). It's so that it wouldn't sound like a broken record.

I don't think there is anything I can do about that. :( I've tried to make it appear as if "we" are making those sound, but I'm no audio editor.

There are also some settings on the audio items in the CK. Some audio like the flying bats sound further away. Did you try to tweak those settings? Perhaps check the gasmask sound settings from DD itself?

I'll have a look. Thanks for the suggestion.

Great on the randomness!

I see @naaitsab has some helpful ideas on the sound location and, like you, I'm grateful for the help of others

Great concept, and I hope you can add it to other Devious Devices.  Squishy vibes have just got to be great  LMAO ?

Hello,
with me unfortunately the sounds do not play at all... do I have to disable something from CL or DD for this?

You don't need to disable anything. Does the sound play when you click "Play sound" in Mcm?

I wanted to write down and submit for your consideration some thoughts/ideas I had last night, so here goes.

- Since SL:TR has a bell collar option, could you try to find/locate a public domain 'jingle bell' type sound file set that can be emitted whenever player moves faster than tip-toeing? (Devious Training also included a MCM scalable option for 'alert's that broke sneaking stealth)

- What are the chances/requirements to locate a public domain 'tinkling glass/crystal' sound set that can be attached to piercings?

- Would you be able to request and adopt for maintenance the old Lover's Lab file that modified ebonite rubber sounds into leather?

- Would you investigate the old Lover's Lab file that modified the bell/chain sounds SFX and adapt that code into future additions?

Yes, the sound plays normally in the MCM menu, only at the gag, excited etc. are the same sounds as always.

In that case the problem might be with settings. Did you turn on "Enable OnIdle" and "Enable OnArousal" in MCM like in the screenshots in mod description? If its still not working, could you upload your log file?

LE/DD5.1

Just tried the audio effects ingame and I can only say: AMAZING,AWESOME,YEHAAA!!!

Your mod was badly needed.

It's like as if I never played around with DDs before.

This is sooo good.

The Gas mask sound, I nearly didn't get fresh air myself just from listening (exhaustion) lol

I absolutely love this mod! Can we get in addition to selection type A/B/etc also random, so it would all the time pick sounds from the whole sound pool for that restraint?

I'm glad you like it. :) Exhaustion effect can be disabled in MCM in case you find it annoying.

I thought about that, but I'm afraid that won't be immersive. Sounds in each Type differ by volume, intonation, they belong to different actresses. Mixing them up will sound like your voice is changing every few seconds. :)

That's a good idea. I'm actually planning to add chain rattling noises that can alert enemies in specified radius. Alerted enemies will crouch to the location were sounds where made.

I'll give it a try, but no promises. Honestly speaking, I have no clue what noise would there crystal piercings make IRL. :)

May be in the future.

It's OK, just add us ability to use it if we like it! Please?
