It's here! The game leaked a few hours ago. Don't ask where to get it.

 

Opening up this topic to discuss mods. BDSP didn't get a single glance, unfortunately. But that may have been due to the chibi characters and overall younger appearance. This game is more along the lines of the others we have had mods for in the past. There is already interest from a lewd/nude modder that worked on BotW, so there is hope!

I don't even know if I'll get this...Pokemon (aside from spinoffs like New Snap) has just been getting stale for me since Sun and Moon...and even then I feel like it was even earlier than that. This game just looks like an even more boring version of a normal Pokemon to me...T.T

Eh, I feel like Pokemon peaked in gen 2 haha. But everyone has their own opinion.

 

This one has enough new concepts to be interesting though. You can actually face pokemon with your trainer, theres stealth mechanics, dodging, foraging, crafting, pokemon researching, move mastering, quests and side quests etc. Tons of QOL stuff too. Like you can learn every move on a Pokemon at once and choose which 4 to equip outside of battle. No more forgetting and relearning.

 

While the last few main line games felt like rehashes of an old concept, this one feels fresh enough. I'm not sure how it can look more boring than the other games when it has more going on that any other Pokemon game ever has. At least the gameplay loop is more than walk down a route, catch a few pokemon/battle a few trainers, find a town and fight a gym. Rinse and repeat 8 or so times and then fight the elite four =P I mean don't get me wrong, its still a Pokemon game and the bones of the old games are still there. It just has more to it now.

 

I find it enjoyable enough and I've seen much more modding interest in this game in the last 2 hours than I've seen for the past two games total haha. I'm sure it will take a bit, but something will come of this game in the way of adult mods.

I'm just not a big fan of open world games...it just feels like they threw Pokemon into...eh, I dunno...Breath of the Wild or something. lol

 

BOTW isn't bad, but it's nowhere near my favorite or Top Zelda game.

It's not open world though. It's more...Monster Hunter. You have a hub town and you choose which region to go to from a map. Each region is just a big wild area from Sword and Shield. There isn't really any exploring, mountain climbing or anything BotW-like. Its just a big area =P

I hope we get some nice mods for the pokemon themselves too. Normally I wouldn't care, but this game makes it easy to fully admire the pokemon, so lewding them would give us a lot to look at

Ah I wouldn't worry to much, even if they are paywalled we still have are Ruski friends. Funny world we live in where Russia is a beacon of freedom tho.

I made the sword and shield mods for this and I’m eagerly waiting for the tools to port my edits over and make more

That's what we are all hoping. Now that the game is officially out, more hands will be on it. Up until today it was only an early leak. So we shall see.

I won't post a link as they have a strict no NSFW policy, but it's easy enough to find via gamebanana.

There is definitely potential here once someone figures out how to do it. There are multiple tops with bandages across the chest that could be removed and there is a barefoot model used when you enter your home.

anyone actively working on this at all? Kinda looking for a barefoot mod and gamebanna seems to be pretty against it.

I don't think anyone has figured out how to do much yet. All of the mods currently out are just retextures and recolors.
