I will see when I unlock it.  It is much later in the game than I am though.  I tried to google pictures and did not find many but I think it may not be open wide enough to show anything though.

 

You could send a save if you want but I may not do any other set outfits.

I can not make them invisible with a texture mod.  Since the game has a script that removes them in the house I think it is probably possible to edit some file to make it remove them always and no one would have to edit the models but I do not know how to do that.

 

I may be wrong.  On Gamebanana someone has put up a mod to remove Volo's cap.  I thought they just made the textures transparent but they did more than that.  I do not know how to do what they did.  I think what they did for that would work for this but they may be the only one who knows how.

I saw their comment too.  They did not explain how it works but it is probably not something I can do.  You could try asking them to do this but I do not know what the response would be.

I found a way to be barefoot.  I opened a backup of my save with pkhex and under sav and box data I changed shoes to 0 under array fashionplayer.  So far it has not changed the shoes back even when I used the clothes changer and walked in and out of my room and it stayed after saving and loading.

I also changed the _38 _48 and _50 options to 0 and no longer have the pouch but it keeps the pouch belt.

I can't even understand the texture's let alone the mesh/model. There's like 15 different files in the Kimono and like, some are green or metalic colored and I don't even understand what I'm looking at lol. I'm not sure when/if the SwitchToolBox will have the ability. I know there's people like Sockpuppet "working on it" but I can't speak for what they're doing/when. I'm tempted to ask the guy about his app, but I already don't have a clue what I'm looking at.

Here is what I know from googling and messing around with the files.

alb is albedo or the base texture

ao is ambient occlusion which is like a shadow map and it is half resolution

I do not know what mask is exactly but they do not seem to use it

mtl is metalness which does not seem to be used on most of these

nrm is the normal map which is like a height map

rgn is roughness which must be like specularity

I do not know what wlm is but really want to

 

Most of the clothing uses only one alb and the game hue shifts or colorizes probably with a shader.  The skin is also changes the same way but differently.  The fancy kimono has 29 albs because they have different patterns not just different colors.  I draw a grid over the textures first to see how they are mapped though some still confuse me.

 

I messed up something in the fancy kimono mod and the arms turn very white.  I do not know what I did wrong but maybe whatever I did could be reversed and put on the see through areas but I do not know how.

 

I think the save editor is probably good enough for changing to barefoot unless it crashes something later.

It is not very good but I wanted to do a mod for Irida since I started the game.  I may stop for a while because of burnout and because texture mods are terrible but I will share this one first.

I do not but thank you.  I hope people who are able to do better will be inspired.  It may be possible to edit models soon which is more than I can do but would be a lot better.

I lied.  I have one more quick thing.  I saw this mod on gamebanana https://gamebanana.com/mods/360571 and learned something new from it.  In the gfpak files some of the random number hashes are sarc files you can extract raw and edit separately.  That will probably be important for modding.  There is not much I wanted to do with that but just on a whim I wanted to change the character save icons and I was very bothered that I could not find where the real icon files were.  report_backup had them but was not used.  The are inside the pause_menu.gfpack as a hash.

 

This is completely pointless and you can not see anything but I just wanted to do it.

Oh I forgot to put this one up earlier with the other.  This one is a version of the Irida mod with bumps and curves but no transparency so less nsfw.

 

I did not feel like bothering with the folder structure or screenshots.  I hope that is ok.  Just put it in the same folder as the other one overwriting it or delete or rename the other.

I only edited textures in the hd texture pack for player 2 and hime trainer files so compatibility is the same as with the texture pack.  Except the pause menu one is different.  The textures in it are the same size so it may have fewer problems if there are any with the hd texture pack.

Random Talking Bush's Model Importers and QuickBMS Scripts

Credit goes to adellanuki for finding it.  They have a script to import models into 3ds max.  I could not do model editing and I do not own 3ds max and can not get it but if anyone else can do that stuff you should look at that script.  I do not know if it is possible to export models back so it may not be possible to make mods with it but I do not really know how it works.

Days months or maybe never.  That script is only for 3ds max and might only work one way.  3ds max is very expensive and free student licensing has verification and only lasts a year.  If someone makes it work they still have to edit a model and convert back.  I think most of the people who can do such a thing would not want to.  We will just have to be patient.

I thought there would be other modders by now but so far there are not.  I have not been playing the game enough to unlock any costumes or anything so have not done much else.  There is not a lot that can be done with textures only.  I was not sure if this was worth sharing but I guess I will.  The player has swapped out the calligraphy scroll for something more interesting in their room:

The whole room is in only a few texture files but it is all together in one pack with a lot of other stuff so this might break with game updates.

I have not put much time into playing the game so I do not know if she is around more later in the game but as far as I am now she was only in it a little bit.  It is hard to line up textures right and does not seem worth the trouble for someone not visible a lot.  Also texture replacements are bad as it is but since she is not flat chested at all it will probably look really weird or weirder than the others already do with just a texture change.

 

By the way I did another version of the room picture.  This one is less extreme but fits better probably.  It is still hard to see because of camera distance and low resolution though.  I already resized the texture up to 2048x2048 and I guess going any higher will not make any difference without a higher game resolution and I am using real switch hardware not an emulator.

I was thinking of doing load screens but there are not many pictures online that show anything interesting that actually show any scenery.  The load screens are just single images for each area in a load_00.arc file though so it is really easy to change them in switch toolbox.
