cbbe [Solved] Armor either clips or changes body shape, even with Bodyslide morphs built.

Solved. I was using LE armor conversions that were not updated to fit the CBBE SE shape.

 

So I recently installed a bunch of armor mods. I'm using the CBBE SSE Slim body, no physics, and I have changed some CBBE morphs in the Racemenu. Every mod I downloaded is for CBBE and has appropriate bodyslide files. I have built all of the available bodyslides, with morphs, for each mod, with CBBE Slim as the preset. 

 

But, for some reason, if it's body armor/clothing, it still changes the body's shape rather significantly, and if it's gloves or leg armor then it sometimes clips through the model.  Here are some screenshots as example. Forgive my Paint skills.

 

 

First pic, looking normal.  Second pic, wearing DD Catsuit gloves, notice how they clip pretty badly. Third and fourth pics, wearing modded body armor, the body shape changes significantly.

 

The issue seems to be the same for other armor mods, so it's not just these three that are the culprits.

 

Again, I did download the CBBE, non-physics versions of the clothing/armor, like the body I have. I built all Bodyslides with morphs and with my body preset.

 

Vanilla Skyrim armor and clothing (also CBBE and fully built with morphs) looks just fine, no problems.

 

What am I doing wrong?

bodylide is the fast thing but often have clipping and body issues .  For that you can use outfit studio to fix to adjust all or most of it .

for some cloth / armour you need to think it as a conversion with manually reshaping the model .

ousnius completely remade CBBE for SE. The textures are compatible, but you'll get clipping if you try to use outfits that were converted from LE but not updated to the new shape.

 

I think the BodySlide files that come with DD are the LE versions, although I know zarantha's troubleshooting post on the SE DD thread has links to 3BBB and 3BA conversions. I wouldn't be surprised if the other outfits are also meant for the LE CBBE.

Ohhhh that would definitely explain it! Yes, the outfits I downloaded are LE conversions. Shame that they don't fit the SSE body, oh well. I'll try zarantha's 3BA conversions for DD. Thanks for your help!
