I am having a problem where 'TortureDevices' and only that force closes my game after a few seconds.

Ive tried every version of it, and even put it at the bottom of the load order, is there something else I should try?

There's a dedicated support thread for that mod (there's one for every mod hosted on this site actually), so you might have more luck asking there:

@hydropalgel that is unusual.

When does the game close?  At the opening screen, after you load your save, ?

How many mods do you have installed?

Do you have Buffout 4 installed?  If so can you upload your crash log?

Game closes right as the cog starts spinning. When I start up F4 (Which is approx 2 seconds.)

50 mods currently.

And yes, Buffout 4 is there. Would I have to look somewhere specific for the crash log?

Check under "C:\Users\YourUserName\Documents\my games\Fallout4\F4SE", it will be a text file that starts with the word crash and then the date e.g. crash-2021-12-20 etc.

Well you may find this odd but it has not recorded any crash files.

Did you happen to fix this problem? I’m having the same issues.

Are you running Vortex on Windows 11?  There is a problem with that combination where certain mods cause the game to crash due to how Vortex handles their files.

I know this is a very old thread, but for anyone else searching, I found a fix that is probably not recommended!

Extract all of the files to the data folders as if manually installing the mod, and then throw the .esm file into Vortex and create a new mod just with that.

Seems to work for me at least, and I also had the Windows 11 / Vortex issue that caused a CTD upon loading.
