I have a problem with education, it looks like in 14 years the max lvl of education that a character manages to get varies in 2-3 levels, am I the only one having this problem?

If you want IronyModManager/the Paradox launcher to tell you it's updated, yes. (who cares lol)

If you want the mod to be properly updated, absolutely not,as you did not change a single file to match the new stuff (no idea if there are needed changes tho, people start crying for updates instantly without ever saying what's wrong with the mod, just not even willing to touch it as if it would blow up their PCs and making an actually useful bug report)

i would if i know where to start looking. lol

How do I make it show up in the launcher? Is there a tutorial for this somewhere else or something?

Assuming you're on windows, you should just need to put the folder and .mod file in "C:\Users\[your user name]\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III\mod"

If you want to have republican knowledge traits as a 14 year old you need to mod it in yourself.

Since those traits are part of fates of Iberia.

Or download the file I attached.

republican.txt

I'm getting an 'Installation of this mod failed. The path in this mod's descriptor file is invalid or does not exist.'

Any advice?

Is there no way to get marriages before the character becomes adult? I'd like to get some characters get married sooner but I don't want them to become adults yet. Is the mod advancing in this matter?

You can decouple marriages from character ages (just look in common/defines) but it's bad. Non-adults won't have the traits/skills to interact with children as intended and without testing it I wouldn't be surprised if it fucks up e.g. assigning guardians.

Is there a specific order this should be loaded? I had it working, but my other mods were out of order. Re-ordered them, popped back into the game, it bumped the ages of 14 year olds who were married to 16 and marriage has gone back to the vanilla setting.

Using the order below as a guide to order my mods. Tried putting it beneath these like it says, tried putting it on top, tried a few spots in the middle.

Any help would be hot.

"- CFP + EPE compatch

- Stuff using EPE
- CBO
- CBO + CFP Compatch
- CBO + CFP + EPE Overrides

- Carnal court
- CC + CFP Compatch

- More stuff"

Thank you for this!

So I got it to sort of work using your suggestion.

The only thing not working is the portraits, which I can live with. I'm assuming it's because I have EPE and that's causing some conflict.

which was considered to be 12 for females and 14 for males.

I've tweaked the files that separate the "adulthood" ages for male and female in a few folders - specifically 'defines', 'on_action', and 'traits'. The new stuff I've added can be found in 'events/court_maintenance_events.txt' and 'events/education_and_childhood/child_personality_events.txt'. Just remember, this is only for version 1.9.0.4.

Not sure if I should drop the files here, since the modder creator seems to not be active anymore in this topic.

I usually play campaigns with very few mods to add to the challenge and when I create a custom religion I always find myself at war with my neighbours, so this kind of mod would be very useful especially at the start of my campaign to get heirs as fast as possible. So, if you are planning to drop your mod here please do so, it would be appreciated.

Btw, have you considered lowering the age of adulthood to twelve with boys as well? Getting heirs four years earlier with both genders (in comparison to vanilla game) would be great.

If you upload your mod here or create a new topic, thank you in advance.

You could post the files in your own thread.  I'll happily use them.

Will I run into any game issues if I edit the mod so that males and females have different adult ages?

No issues here, it's working fine. But I didin't mess with education traits, left them as is.

Hoodies on characters from 16 to 18 years old infuriate me. Not sure how you can change the nudity age?

I haven't tested if this actually works yet, but on your game folder: Crusader Kings III\game\common\scripted_triggers

there's a file called 00_clothing_triggers.txt which has the following content:

    # Character must be an adult.
    exists = this
    is_adult = yes

Maybe deleting the is_adult = yes should work. Of course, if there are no nude 3d models for your character then I'm guessing something might happen such as the character showing up invisible or a crash. I haven't tested this yet.

kinda modding question - is changing of *_ADULT_AGE, SKILL_SCALE_AGE and shifting education events to a new adult age required for whole thing to work? if i change only AGE_OF_MARRIAGE_* - does it break education system?

thing is - i kinda got whole age requirement system completely changed in my local modpack for triggers, events, interactions and so on to a different numbers depending on situation and context, so i'm not worried about basic "is_adult" check or anything like that, now i just want to change age of marriage define without messing up portraits, education or changing actual adult age

No, you can change the other ages and leave the skills/education traits as they are. I'm interested in that mod of yours, any chances we could use it?
