[Request] Is there a conclusive list of "must-have" mods for FO4? What are yours?

Heyho,

normally I mod Skyrim, but I decided I could take a glimpse at FO4 again. No worries, I'm no mod newbie, I just want another setting for some variety...

Now, besides those "most downloaded" mods at the Nexus, what are (in your eyes) the essential, must-have mods that are needed for a "good" playthrough? Something like SkyUI, USSEP or RaceMenu for Skyrim. Is there maybe even a bootstrap/framework list available for FO4? I had a look over to S.T.E.P. for ideas but they don't provide one for FO4 yet.

 

Another question: is AAF the go-to adult framework for FO4 (similar to SLf for Skyrim) or is there a better alternative?

And same as above, is there some bootstrap/framework list for a basic adult gameplay setup? (Comparing to SLf+SL Aroused+SLAL+...) Do you have some mod ideas for that?

 

BTW, I have every DLC, so there's no limitation by that.

 

And to avoid all moralic sermons ^^:

I call myself an experienced modder, I do know how to handle MO2, BodySlide and all that, I know not to blindly trust LOOT and how to tweak ini settings without blasting the game.

I DO KNOW that I there always (or at least mostly) are alternatives to suggested mods and that some may not play well together. And I can read descriptions ^^

 

I just would be thankful for a first list to get a basic idea of what's needed for FO4, so I don't forget too much. Thank you for that

must have Mod Nr1 for me is (regardless of an Adult Mods Profile or Vanilla)

Reverb and Ambience Overhaul This makes sounds much more realistic. Especially Gunfire.

 

For an Adult Setup there is really no way around AAF. If you want to have a good and well thought Single Mod, then you may consider going with Hardship . This covers a well done Prostitution Mode, Harassment by Raiders, Love with Companions and goes really well and immersive on a harsh survival setup. Its very configurable and from my perspective it works extremely well on its own. Youre fine when you follow its installation instructions regarding its dependencies. Everything you need is described there and for an advanced user like you it should be failsafe.

 

I would also suggest using Sex Attributes . Hardship has its own Wear and Tear system but i think Sex Attributes still adds well into it with more buffs/debuffs (including basic arousal). You could add other mods like Sexual Harassment, Violate etc. 

 

Dont expect the same as we have in Skyrim with SL Arousal, Sexual Fame Framework, Separate Orgasm or the great Submissive Lola. But still from my Opinion all the stuff we have in Fallout fits the game very well. I prefer my FO4 Setup much over Skyrim SE, because its more immersive, plausible and most important almost bulletproof stable.

Because I'm not a total idiot that uses bUseCombinedObjects=0.  And well, I've done the testing and know exactly what performance hits AND gains breaking precombines have.

Have you even used the mod? For FFS!! I've been using it since it came out. 98% of the "bug reports" are from people that haven't got a clue as to what's going on. Besides that, I think 948K+ people might disagree with you.

SkyUI = Mod Configuration Menu or MCM

USSEP = Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch - Same Author

RaceMenu = LooksMenu - Same Author

CBBE Still CBBE in FO4 but can also use Fusion Girl, Wonder Body, or Atomic Beauty -  (Same Author as Touched By Dibella)  Use BodyTalk for male bodies.

Hair - Commonwealth Cuts - KS Hairdos ApachiiSkyHair.  This is one of the most common hair mod for FO4

Eyes - The Eyes Of Beauty.  There are lots of others but this is the common one.

Body texture - depends on body type selected.   Fair Skin Ported from Skyrim, Ida CBBE Textures, Pride Of Valhalla (Also Ported From Skyrim?), Silky Smooth Skin, Nuclear Nude.

Face texture - Natural 2K Face Textures, Real HD Face Textures.  Just like Skyrim ensure face and body textures match or you will get brown face.  

 

Clothing (To Your Taste but here are common ones for FO4).  Pretty much any Deserter X Mods, Vtaw Mods, The Kite Mods, Shino Mods, HN66s EasyGirl Outfits, Rad-Ban Eyewear Inc.

Clothes Pack 1 thru 4 by DonEb14n, Fallout 4 High Heels System

For Shoes/Heels - IceStorm Mods, Charming High Heels.

Replacer Armour/Clothing - Female Outfits Replacer by Lazman, 2pac CBBE Skimpy Armor and Clothing Replacer.

Power Armour - Worsin's Immersive Power Armor Garage 

 

Unique Player/Follower.  Pretty much same as Skyrim.

Lots more mods to list but his should get you started. 

Don't activate mods until you leave the vault or use vanilla save after vault, or alternate start mod.

Ensure proper order of body, physics mods.  Watch Face and Body textures.

Don't activate a bunch of mods all at once.  Load the game via Mod Manager of choice.  If it loads then maybe create your character.  See if game loads.  If it does start adding mods a little at a time from there.  You can generally group similar mods together in load order like clothes, weapons, followers, etc.  These usually won't crash your game unless a particular mod was not written well.
