Best Syrim SE mod organizer for Sexlab/Defeat animations setup?

I am coming back to this game after about 5 years and seeing as how the community has mostly moved over to support for SE and my reading that SE works better on Window's 10 for mods (use, not creation) I purchased SE and am doing a complete rebuild. My first question is what mod organizer is best for getting Sexlab and Defeat running smoothly? I was using NMM previously and dabbled with MO1. Now it seems Vortex has replaced NMM and MO2 is now in place of MO1. Does one of these work smoother on getting a working non-crash setup going?

I want to set up things with similar mods to what I had before. This will include Sexlab, Defeat, animations, CBBE, hairstyles, outfits, and the usual SKSE, FNIS, physics mods, and the other stuff that makes things work.

I will use either Enhanced Character Edit or Racemenu (could use some guidance on this, I was into ECE before as I liked the YGNord race but it seems a lot of mods now require Racemenu so it might be a better mod for getting things to work?

Any advise would be most appreciated. I know I am looking at a few hours to set things up and I want to ensure I start off on the right path with the right organizer.

Thanks

MO2 and Vortex would be your best choices, purely because they're the most recent and known ones. So it's easier to find videos and written guides about them. You can get a general idea of each one by watching some videos (like the introductory videos by Gopher for both MO2 and Vortex). Then is up to you to pick one and learn how to use it.

ps: and it's definitely recommended for you to look at the forum sections and identify the ones for Skyrim SE, otherwise you'll post and likely grab mods from places not made for SE.

There is no right or wrong.

Vortex is probably best for beginners and modders with a limited number of mods.

You get a lot more control with Mod Organizer 2 which becomes important as your mod colllection grows.

Yeah, probably best to use Racemenu instead ECE. Racemenu seems to be better supported lately but you can choose what you prefer.

Some off-topic hints:

- Look at CBBE 3BA body mod at Nexus

- A number of new-ish skins like Diamond and Demoniac at Nexus

- While testing new build i would recommend mods like Live Another Life or Skyrim Unbound to avoid slow default game intro

At least get your terminology correct before you try to make a decision - it's a mod manager you are looking for. Whichever mod manager you choose it will have little or no bearing on whether Sexlab and Defeat running smoothly. This is especially true if you do not know how to use your manager correctly.

If your game is set up and configured correctly and you understand how to use the various tools such as your mod manager then any combination of will work. The converse is also true.

Check out this guide, it's themed with MO2. Let me know if it helps or if you need more help.
