Hey there just to let you know.

i have just switched back to fnis from nemesis and here is why.

Nemesis is fucking amazing for a lot of reasons, it breathes so much life in to Skyrim

it works with sexlab and you can have animals if you use fnis also.

Nemesis blew my mind for a couple a weeks

But..

Nemesis behaviours breaks certain features of some mod's i cant play without. specifically

Defeat stealth take down doesnt work

Sneak tools throat slit broken

Violens kill moves regular ctd's or not working.

Vampire feeding ctd.

this is caused by mistached data in the BSSyncronizeClipGenerator functcons of behaviour files.

Nemesis can't process it correctly yet and there is fuck all of no information available on it.

these are the only examples i have found so far.

but if you find BSSyncronizeClipGenerator in your crash log it's a Nemesis ctd and i never ever had that problem with fnis.

just a fyi.

Thanks!

I've been reluctant to use Nemesis, but now you totally convinced me not to.

Yeah, it may be the new toy in town and may make FNIS look "old and clunky", but FNIS is battle tested and has proven to be stable for many, many years.

All while Nemesis may brand new but more unstable and practically abandoned at this point.

Sadly, I think it will never reach the greatness everyone thinks it will; the greatness it deserves. Nemesis is nothing more than the byproduct of a childish temper tantrum.

You can't just make a project open source and throw it to the public expecting, "Meh... someone will continue development if I'm gone". That's not how it works.

Actually successful open source projects (see Blender or JContainers) have a lead person that overviews the project for many years, since they have the knowledge and overview on how make them to work.

Sorry for the rant.

I had to take this out from my chest and found no better place to vent :v

Yes exactly, its in the name.  Nemesis:  one that inflicts retribution or vengeance

It was my understanding (learned about 2 months ago), that Nemesis dev went behind a pay wall. So is this just not widely known (I have no certainty), or has that since changed? If true, that's even a bigger reason not to support it.

Your news are newer than mine, then.

Last I knew, people said the author said he wanted to do other things than working on Nemesis, but that was around one year ago, or something.

If what you say is true, what was the purpose of making it open source, then? Just to spit Fore in the face? xD

Hopefully this isn't true, otherwise things are worse than I thought xD

Either way, the only hard fact here is that the last github commit was around a year and a half ago, so I wouldn't get my hopes too high it will ever be at least as actually usable as FNIS is.
