Armor mod creation - lighting/texture artifacts

Copy pasting from Reddit as my post was kinda ignored there :^(

Hey all, new modder here. I'm working on an armor mod, but textures are being a bit wonky in certain poses.

See here - the cape and skirt areas have strange discolorations in some poses, any ideas on what's causing the issue? Thanks in advance.

Side note, still working on the base model/weights, but any other feedback is appreciated : )

You need to finish the weights properly before even getting to what you're attempting to fix, as it appears that's actually one of your issues. Take look at the underside of weighting mask to make sure EVERYTHING is weighted. Every thing. All triangular objects. As for the other issue, make sure the flag for double sided display is on. After you fix your weighting mask.

For the top part, remove breast bone from the arms?
For the skirt, its a hell to make it work. First add the spine, then paint the legs with soft value by hand, test in game. And if you have to paint a stronger value.

Excuse me.

I'm making my armor mod. I finished meshes and prepared textures. How to rig my armor in most effective way? What software is suits most to it? For modelling I use Blender. Thanks.
