-alpha- Posted August 1, 2021 Posted August 1, 2021 sigh... my comment was meant to be pointless as your request is equally pointless when you provide no info. what are you running on PC or laptop hardware specs current framerate what mods are you using are you using an ENB what res? whats your current settings you provide nothing you get nothing

Nothing more, nothing less.

Nothing more, nothing less. Prolly you're running it from waaay far beyond it's specs recommendation but I don't know, must be on your end. If you're literally looking for performance based mods, you can search it on google I mean it's not that hard as it is a few clicks and enters away. Also there's nothing wrong with what Alpha said on upgrading stuffs though plus if you literally want a help, you should be able to provide what's been ask. Simple as that. 5kb mod is too small for it to be the cause of crash too. Way too small.
myuhinny Posted August 1, 2021 Posted August 1, 2021 Ignoring people's posts that are helping you is the smartest and best way to get help or maybe that is fastest and best way to get ignored by everyone instead. As others have stated a thread named **How to improve the game performance?** doesn't tell anyone anything at all other then that you are playing fallout 4. It doesn't tell us what your computer specs are or if you are using windows XP or windows 7 - 8 or 10. What mods you are using what mods you plan on using and so on and so on.

Nothing more, nothing less. There are some mods that can make your graphic in game worse, and load accelerator, the best way to make game stable not to install mods
HentaiGnome Posted August 1, 2021 Posted August 1, 2021 Assuming you have a decent gaming PC (something within the last five years) then honestly, a couple simple things are all that's needed to improve performance: 1. FO4's Launcher Options > Advanced > Shadow Distance = Medium and Godrays Quality = Off OR Ultra* 2. If setting Godrays Quality = Ultra, then I highly recommend No Godrays Whilst Keeping Volumetric Lights "No Godrays Whilst Keeping Volumetric Lights" is basically the same as turning off the buggy, performance-crapper Godrays EXCEPT you get to keep the nice volumetric lighting effect on. If you're only using vanilla weathers, you can download the mod and install the ESP. But if you're using custom modded weathers, such as NAC or Vivid Weathers, then you'll want to run the script using FO4Edit. The download link for the script is on the mod's description page at the bottom. I have a fairly heavy modded game with an ENB and visual enhancements, and still maintain 60 fps even in performance-heavy areas like Boston.

Nothing more, nothing less. It's not a pointless rant, what they've said is facts. If you really want to have a stable performance then you should really get a new CPU/ or probably just upgrade it and get a new GPU (If you're using Desktop computer) or if you know something about tweaking some settings then you should do it , it'll probably help you on your performance. Oh and No Offense if you're asking a question or want to find a performance mod why not just google it right? It's very easy. Nexus got a lot of performance mods that can help you out, you just need to find it. These people are just trying to help you and buying a new rig just for yourself is not really a waste of time and money, because if you know you have an old machine and it can't run a game even on it's minimum requirements then you should probably need to replace it with a new one instead of hanging into it and it's really gonna worth it, if you know that you're gonna use it for years. Lastly I don't know why a 5kb mod will be the caused of a crash on the game unless you change something on the game engine itself, so we don't really know if you read the mods description (whatever that mod is) and followed it's instructions or you porbably just put it on the game directory without following the instruction.
dukx Posted August 2, 2021 Author Posted August 2, 2021 Let's put a full stop to all these pointless boooring off-topic comments shall we ? Anyway, Grab a nuka-cola, throw skooma away for a bit, and have a look. Its certainly not much since i play SSE with over 300 mods buuut i guess in a wasteland, less is more. Or something like that. Still, on the basis of my list below, tell me, how to cross "the border" ? itching to add 200 more mods. Also some general optimization mods like Fallout Priority and Fast Corpse Despawn etc are appreciated. Thanks.
myuhinny Posted August 2, 2021 Posted August 2, 2021 I agree on the put a full stop to this as it's obvious that you don't need anyone's help so I'm locking the thread.
