OCBPC for Fallout 4

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

So I'm playing pre-update here and I'm following the guide for CBBE OCBPC MTM Preset to making my own collisions and I am having trouble with the collision configuration, do I add what nodes I've added in the .nif file into the config and include the numbers? The guide glosses over the configurations but explains the nifscope incredibly well, I would like some help further explaining how to properly edit the configuration and the .ini files. The preset handles the amount of jiggle well for me and I'd like to see the collisions match.

Edit: Ok! after some scouring of the MTM Preset posts page I have discovered that the NifSkope is for getting the xyz and radius data to put into the collisions in place of what the preset has put in, now I feel like I just did the 3 S's after a heavy night of drinking!

Is there any old version of ocbcp/ocbp

thanks im broke

I don't understand... are you saying that you're illegally pirating the game, but that it's okay because you can't afford to buy it? You're not going to find any help with that here, sorry. Quoting from LL's Community Rules:

Piracy is not provided here. It's not our business where you get a game, but you will not get help with piracy here, and helping somebody else pirate is strictly against the rules. Keep it to yourself.

I got this weird "bug" (i don't even know if it is a bug) where the physics only work on males. I'll admit it is goofy seeing flat chest just bouncing up and down, but at least i'd like if females had physics too. Any help is appreciated :)

btw i have already build bodies and all multiple times to try to fix it with no avail

Which female body replacer are you using? If it's CBBE, make sure you build the body and outfits with the normal CBBE preset, not the "physics" preset (that one's for a different, older physics system).

Tht's ok....I guess pre-cc content? without dlc?

things to check: most mod now require all dlcs, if you have them you're fine, if not.... uhhhhh

I would suggest to update the game (it'll update to 1.10.984)... and enter the firepit... downgrade to 1.10.163...

I cannot speak for Overlordd999, but personally I'm running this.  My copy of FO4 is a perfectly legitimate bought & paid for real Steam copy of the game.  It's just the pre-next-gen version because I've been around the block a few times and EVERY time Bethesda updates a game, you can count on three things happening:

  1. A lot of mods will be broken for a short time.
  2. A small group of mods will be broken for eternity.
  3. Someone will make a patcher so you don't have to experience 1 or 2.

tl;dr Old version does NOT equal piracy.  Correlation, not causation.

Ok. So obviously this was not directed at you.

Right, the other user said they were using (ancient) 1.10.138 and gave the reason as "I'm broke" implying their reason for being on a really old version is that they didn't buy a licensed version of the game but rather found one of the cracked old copies floating around and were using it illegally because they couldn't afford to buy the game.

With baka huens cbpc mod for sse, I was able to configure physics to only update every 1/24 seconds, as well skip a given amount of frames. Is there a way to do that with this mod?

Oh my God!
I'm new to modding and completely confused!
So many different bodies, skeletons, physics mods, physics presets...
Sorry, but I NEED HELP! I read the comments, but still didn't understand anything.
I have the latest version of the game installed (Next Gen) and I'm trying to add physics for my character.
I wanted to use a CBBE body. As I understand it, this is the best choice, since it has the most mods with clothes, tattoos and the like. Or I'm wrong?
And I wanted to use OCBPC because it adds collisions between body parts. But, I can’t understand whether this mod is updated for the latest version of the game or not? Unfortunately, I didn’t find where I can check this (
I don't understand if I need any kind of skeleton mod if I want to add physics to the most body parts for female and male characters? As I understand it, the physics of male characters requires BodyTalk, right? And to what body parts of male characters can we add physics in general?
What is the advantage of using the ZeX skeleton? Only he will give the opportunity to control the tongue using pose mods?
I will be VERY grateful for your help! Please!

You should probably consider downgrading your game for now. There isn't an official build of the OCBP body physics library for the new game version yet. New game versions are very disruptive to the Fallout 4 mod ecosystem, and many major mods take months to sort things out and catch up.

It's possible you read some articles from 2018. Yes there's a fair amount of old clothing mods that were only built for CBBE, but most new stuff gets quickly ported to other bodies. Also don't confuse what you read about CBBE with CBBE+3BBB. The latter is essentially a new body replacer and clothing made for the original CBBE won't have physics movement if you're using CBBE+3BBB, instead you'll need to find clothing converted for that newer body.

What body replacer works best with other mods depends a bit on what sort of mods you're using. For example, when it comes to the "adult" (sex-oriented) modding scene, there are a number of mods that are only initially created for the Fusion Girl female body replacer, and may take a very long time (if ever) to get ported to other body relpacers like CBBE. Also take into account what male body replacer you plan to use, since the game expects both genders to share the same skeleton and instead differ by their body mesh and textures, so for example BodyTalk3 and FusionGirl are easy to use together since they both share the ZeX Skeleton, but if you want to have different skeletons for men and women you end up needing additional patching to separate them out.

So, OCBPC-0.3-ZeX4 is the correct required cbp.dll source? It is not mentioned anywhere, nor what the advantage of using this fork on top.

Correct source for what?

OCBPC is like OCBP but also adds support for "collision spheres" in addition to the usual jiggle effects for acceleration and gravitation.

It states in the question: Correct source for the cbp.dll? I was missing the .dll file, you asked if its activated, I noticed I didn't have it. It is nowhere mentioned, that this .dll is required but not provided.

OCBPC is the source for the OCBPC version of cbp.dll, OCBP is the source for the OCBP version of cbp.dll, and there are still more sources of cbp.dll as well with different implementations. Which one is the "correct" source depends on what kind of cbp.dll you're looking for.

is this broken in the next gen update?

Yes, or to look at it another way, the new Fallout 4 version breaks the current OCBPC release. There is an updated OCBP though, you could consider switching to that if you don't want to downgrade the game.
