That being said, this body uses the default feet from HGEC... I think I'll add Robert's feet to it.

I wouldn't worry about it. There is no cure for paranoia. We are going to offend him somehow eventually, no matter WHAT we do.

 

By now, he must know that it was not necessary to remove ALL of his mods from TesNexus. So that was a mistake done out of over-protectiveness. But has he re-uploaded ANY of them to TesNexus? No, because he's still afraid of something.

Not over-protectiveness. You got the story wrong. SPB misunderstood the newly introduced 'no sexual images in the Image Share section' rule and pulled his mods (before that I think he was even banned for a short while before the misunderstanding was clarified)

Even after the new rule was explained to him, he did not feel like uploading them again (to be honest, the strike of Dark0ne's puritanist ego pissed off quite a few members, I mean, I can understand that he did not want to see gazillions of haphazardly taken X-rated screenshots, but with the same strike he also drove away all tasteful nude images too).

I remember seeing one of the mods saying some REALLY nasty things to a new member who merely ASKED A QUESTION about some 18+ stuff, saying their site is "family friendly", whatever the hell that means. I always laugh at that because apparently most of the mods on nexus forgot that Oblivion is rated M, not E. They're pretty much contradicting themselves for opening up a forum that only hosts PG content but the game itself is M, lol.

Well, to play Devil's Advocate here, Grim the pic you posted dosn't match the pic SPB has annotated as his DMMC body. They are both very different in appearances.

 

I put them both into my set body to verify the differences between the two. What I found was, at the least, the nipple types are very different. The lowerbody for SPB's version was...odd, might have just been my install, but at the very least the breasts are different.

Concidering just this small difference though, he'd have a reason to be miffed. Essentially you may have potentially posted someone elses body type as and listed it as his. I don't know who did the nipple type you posted. It may be a SPB body, maybe you just got the name of it wrong. Either way, it might be why he wigged.

 

Now SPB is definatly paranoid. Why? No fucking idea. He did take a lot of flack during the Culling of the Nexus incident and that was when he pretty much told the western modding community to screw off. Plus, he has little love for Lovers Lab from what I understand due to a previous occasion that we shared out his stuff.

 

I'm the type who feels that as long as credit is given where credit is due, there shouldnt be a fucking issue, though many want more control over thier material then they may rightfully have (ie. when you share your shit over an open 4share link, dont cry when it gets passed around!)

 

I'm not giving you shit or anything (I like the body you linked better) I'm just trying to shed light on a possible mix up in names and credit.

It's the body from the DMMC Ribbon armor. I think SPB was just mad because I didn't include all the credits that he wants mentioned when you modify a file that he uploaded. But since the body itself doesn't use the high heel plugin from vipcxj nor any other stuff except the body itself I thought it would be enough to give credit to SPB... but it seems that he wants that you include his FAQ.txt and readme.txt in your archive that you upload.

 

Anyway, I merged roberts feet to the body with the small nipples (I just HATE the normal HGEC feet), but I am kinda reluctant to upload them. Since he prefers to mock me on his blog and on shy instead of making an account here and write me a PM or post his issue here in this thread and such.

I have always found it amusing when someone posts up a picture of a mod they made for their game all proud about what they did, something that looks like they put significant time and effort into, only to refuse to share it based on "Its mine and you can't have it, but you can look at it from WAAAY over there, but no touching you dirty, dirty leecher you!"

 

Now granted I am just a dirty leecher, so I if dont like it then I should just learn how to do it and make something similar rather then complain as if I'm owed something. Which if I did make a mod, I dont see how I could get any less enjoyment out of the fact that others might also enjoy my work. I could see where you might be worried about criticism, but then you wouldnt post a picture of it on the internet in the first place. There are a lot of Gollums out there on the Internets.

I don't even see whats so great about SPB's bodies and mods (except DMMC bikini, that shit is hot). I don't see why he has to act all high and mighty, his body isn't anything special. Granted I wouldn't be able to do it, but if I did I wouldn't be such a tight ass about it.

I agree with Jerb. Most of SPBs stuff, I don't bother using. It just isnt exciting anymore. His tastes have changed in a different direction then mine have is all. The Ribbon Maid things is nice, but even that I was dissapointed in because of how he configurd the body as the outfit and the ties as amulets or something.

Yay... just render all of my chracters equipment useless...smart....

 

So yea, maybe I'm on the bitter side.

I mean, I uploaded only the body he used in 2 outfits so far and he is calling that illegal and fake... okay. But WHY. And instead of contacting me in person he uses his blog and shy to scold me. But he don't say what I did wrong, he only says that one shouldn't spread fake and illegal stuff, I mean wtf. What's fake about his very own meshes?

Culture gap. We westerners are fans of confrontation and open dialogue, even if it is hostile. In Japan, China, and (somewhat) Korea this is a huge no no. Public argumentation/debate is seen as shameful for both parties, and by extension even private confrontation is somewhat taboo. It is a very avoidant culture.

 

I remember a friend of mine went to Japan to study a type of karate (I don't remember which type) and while he was there asked permission from his sensei to go to another dojo and study there for a week of cross-training. His sensei flat out ignored him like he never even spoke, and my friend was wondering if the sensei was mad at him. Through several conversations with other Japanese students he learned that he was asking too directly. He went to the sensei again and asked "hypothetically" if it would be ok for a student of his dojo to go train at another dojo for a week. The sensei simply replied "Yes that would be fine." and that was that.

 

That is the kind of culture we have to deal with. Most westerners view this as a waste of time, dishonest, or even cowardly (not having the courage to state how you feel openly). It is different over on the other side of the pond. I know it may sound weird, but compared to most other cultures on the planet westerners are extremely klingon-ish (sorry, don't know a better term), even if we don't see ourselves that way.

 

TL;DR: It's easier for him to call you a thief publicly and write you off as a no good plagarist then it is for him to confront you and actually talk about it.

Seems he's posted a little more on the matter. In my opinion, the "fake" is superior, because the author at least bothered to segment the body properly (femaleupperbody.nif upper and lower bodies and hands for some odd reason) and also eliminated the seams.

Well that last post is certainly not hostile...at least not in my opinion (not worth anything I realize). Changing the name to "Modified SPBDMMC body" seems like a logical request not to mention throwing in the credit.txt's so as not to confuse people - unless I am just missing the boat....
