A while back, I posted my story line, which starts with my Nora being an ex stripper who joined the military (all patriotic) met Nate and all that.   So she wasn't shy about showing off, but she gets more and more wrapped into breaking her limits again and again, all to accomplish a mission.    She is weak, at first, because she has no one that has her back, but as she grows into the porn star, and starts interacting with the worst scum of the universe, she starts to get more rebel and more raider like until finally (once NR is over) she realizes that she now has many people backing her because of name recognition, but they see the bimbo, so she decides, Nope...gonna save the wasteland one settlement at a time.   

 

Also, I have the religious mods (ones where you search out seven different bibles and build churches in your settlements), so she is sort of based on the reformed/saved porn star now doing good for the world.   That was my latest play through with NR 5.1.   I haven't decided how this one will end.

 

Needless to say, your RP will depend on your mods that you are running, as if you are running CS, then going back to the commonwealth to kill all those evil raiders gives a good revenge back story.    Revenge can almost be a crutch RP element, working almost everywhere, that is why I like the born again angle.

@JB.  Are you going to host the files?   I need to rebuilt my mod loadout, so I will have to wait until the weekend.  It would be nice to grab this great work from this massive thread before it gets buried.    Course....you are probably already doing that.

 

This is great work.

 

Before you know it, you will have an entire development team.    I need to gen up some more commercials for Nuka Ride to play at later dates during Nora's adventure.

I used Vortex to install all of the outfit mods. But these should be in the NR directory?

Some of the textures are provided by the clothing mods linked in the NR description as requirements. Double check that you have them installed.

Hello. I have a question about how to reduce the damage from whipping. Because after it, my character has all his limbs broken.
I have MAIM, True Damage and Horizon installed. Is the problem due to these mods?

Bit of an odd choice for a few of them, I know - but I think when I started it was with the goal of ensuring that the 'human introduction' to the questline was properly re-voiced. Also someone mentioned Will was in-need of a revoice, and Mags didn't have too many lines, so I got them done in one as well. Lip sync is still an issue due to out-dated lip files -- I did try to re-generate them myself, but I am creation-kit illiterate and the tutorials I was able to find and follow didn't seem to work correctly for this. In any case - I didn't want to bash my head into it too hard.

Progress will probably be slowing to a halt around here, though I might partial-patch some of the Overboss' dialogue in at some point with the character allotment I have remaining. It's just a question of what voice to generate his lines from. I'll attach a .wav sample of a snippet of his dialogue generated from the 'packmale02' voice indicated to have been used in the dialogue sheet Axary included in their mod, but I'm unsure if it ~sounds right~ to my ear compared to his 'original' voice, which might be due to a trick of xVASynth or something else I'm not seeing. Could also be that I need to curate the training lines I'm giving it a little more - considering the way I ~usually~ handle it is by pulling those files directly out of FO4's voiceline folders.

Also, for fun, I'll include one of the test-line generations I made using Colter's actual voice-lines from the game. Man's angry about having to write his papers, much like me.

 

 

Let me know if it works for people. If for some reason Shank and Mason are still using the original xVASynth voices, it's probably because I've uploaded the wrong file. And yeah - install instructions are the same as before, just slide the Voices_en.BA2 file attached into wherever you've installed Axary's xVASynth mod, and replace it (though do keep a back-up of the original, just in-case it breaks something, or you end up preferring the original!)

I think the colters actual voice fits more for him being being black then packmale2.

Yes it is.   Also mods like "true agony" and "realistic damage" (not sure on the name) make melee combat hard esp if you are low level.  One solution, besides removing those mods is to make use of the console command to become invulnerable for the duration of the whipping.   A pain to be sure, but at least you won't be whipped to death.

Ok, I went to that section and downloaded every outfit mod that I could. Regenerated meshes in BodySlider. Some textures are still missing. Is there an updated list from where to get some of these mods? My character has rings on her fingers with textures. But, the face piercings that Nisha gave me are missing. Along with arm and ankle jewelry.

Hey been loving the updated stuff, especially Fevers sections! which is why I've noticed an issue.

I use silent protagonist and in the scene when you're trying to help Music (alongside Fever) because it treats it as if there's no active dialogue happening whatever my characters says is skipped over, I don't even see the subtitles.  The result is ofc a very one sided scene haha

  Reveal hidden contents

Doberman will take over "Father" AKA Shaun, in the end. Depending on our choices prior, similar to the Music take over, he will survive or die.
"Father" at the Galaxy Tower mentioned knowing some one that can persuade us, I'm assuming it's the Husband Nate.


I know it's not in the cards but would be nice if this mod expands to include a Male Sole Survivor. Basically taking the role of Overboss, like in vanilla, but you'll also be asked by the Mods NPC to expand the business. Maybe More combat since Husband/Nate is a soldier. Shaun rather than thinking "Mom Can't be a slut" would be more "Dad, can't be this ruthless" The Female role that the PC would take if they were Female would be given to Music/Ramona.

You're probably done by now but you're not far off, here I wrote what I have as a draft for NR7.

Great work regardless, AI tools are getting insane. The next gen of fallout/elder scrolls might be at least partially AI genned. Even get GPT to write backstory / fluff dialogue for them on the fly, and then AI tools to voice it. Insane!

Personally, I don't like the voice generated from Colter's actual voice at all. I don't know why, but listening to him, my imagination conjures up a picture of some politician standing on a podium and feeding the voters bullshit. I even caught myself thinking that I was expecting that voice to say "Make America Great Again".

It's obviously not Colter.

 

Yes, "PackMale02's" voice may not be particularly pleasant to hear, but Colter is far from a pleasant person either.
So, personally, in my mind, this voice fits him better.

Yeah, just finished the current part. Slightly sad that It's not done yet cause I'm also using Journal of the Sole Survivor Mod to document my character's thoughts. Right now I'm using Music's Desire to find her mother inspiring my Nora to return to the wasteland. Albeit after a long romp with the Overboss.

Since if you think about it what ever that "spirit" is feeds off negative emotions such as anger, disappointment, etc. Father was and is a prime target for that especially if you were not nice to him. There's ample chances for the "spirit" to posses him. Maybe he did get corrupted and later it'll manifest as a fragment?

 

-I play my Nora as some one who was hesitant and tried to remain faithful to her late husband, but desperation had her accepting her situation. She still believes she's loyal to her husband and that if given a choice she would remain with him. 

            So in this sense it would be nice to have a "Good" end with him. Doing so might end the quest line, or maybe branch off as Nate who's a soldier try to free you from the overboss. Which could have him take care of the last Dog Named Raider, basically replacing him as the Overbosses' antagonist. Could also play it off as you telling him to wait in the commonwealth while you figure out how to escape all the while enjoying the debauchery in Nuka Town. This could end with Nate either joining you or getting dead. Could also make a path for some Cuck stuff too I suppose. Since this whole thing is sorta cucking already.

 

-I have mentioned already, any plans or potential plans for a Nate/Male PC side or will it be strictly Nora/Female PC mod?

There are no plans for Nate protagonist. I'd have to redo the whole mod or it would basically be a gay experience. And mostly I'd have to like writing about it. It's not an idea I'm ruling out, to be honest, but I think it would be better to finish the woman's route first to see if I feel like doing one for a man. 


 

I don't think Nora would be at all happy with a clone of her husband and although I haven't written anything yet, she would most likely feel a deep dislike for the synth, it would be a horrible offense to her that someone is trying to make her believe that a synth can replace someone she loved. 

 

I think the function of synths is interesting, but never as "replacements". So you'd most likely have a guy groveling for Nora, her completely furious at the situation, and probably the Overboss stressing the synth with every offense imaginable.

 

So, yes, Synth Nate's path should be similar to Synth Nora's. Nora is probably going to accept him if he chooses his own path, and doesn't live a life that is not his own.

 

Mind you, my draft is basically that Nora doesn't know at first that this Nate is a synth, for a short period of time. Things can get very emotional. Then Shaun will clear things up for her.

Lucy in the sky issues in the raider hideout

 

The place where the final stage of the kidnapping takes place is divided in two different sections. the platform where a raider and bulldog remain and the floor where you are treated by the raiders to some spa-raider stuff.

 

That section, specially the metal wall at the left where you first and later the overboss come, makes a hell of pathfinding and first bulldog and then the overboss gets literally freezed there. (i have attached a screen to indicate where the overboss is admiring the body of bulldog and pondering about the beauty of that spot instead of, well, instead of rescuing you).

 

The same happens to bulldog and i end jumping to the platform to continue the quest, but this makes the overboss having the same issue in this next part of the quest when he should rescue you.

 

Given the fact that in this part of the quest the mc is literally stuck, frozen and unable to do anything my advice would be that you test how to make this path finding for the chars more easy because otherwise it is a pain.

 

I will reload a previous save and i will complete the quest with commands and hope that nothing breaks but the only thing worse than a quest where you can do nothing is a broken quest where you can do nothing.

 

pd: this quest is a nice touch to let the mc know that for all the bad the overboss seems to be, there can be someone else that is even worse.

Well Nora by the dialogue given by this mod, does seem to open up to the "Sister" Idea. I don't see why she wouldn't be against a Synth Husband. I would say that she might be harbor some animosity by having her emotions played by Shaun, once the reveal happens. It could also be that She found from someone else, which makes it seem like Shaun was purposely lying to her.

 

Sorry if it seems I'm very pushy, I see quite a bit of opportunity here for RP. Could go down the route as you intend but could also go down a route that's different.

 

We have been given different options to respond in the mod, Yes events will still happen, but the character is different. A Nora who pretends to submit, vs a Nora who does submit fully.

I will also ask since I thought about this on the way home. Will interacting with Base game characters have an effect? Let's say I do continue Vanilla FO4, by killing Kellog and going to the Institute. Will Shaun React? Or is this Completely Separate? As I said I'm playing Nuka Ride as a side venture. Nora Taking a month or two to Prepare to look for Shaun.

 

I am an Ideas man, As a Forever DM on my friend groups, I have plenty of practice. I can come on too strong with those Ideas and for that I apologize.

Honestly to me, I feel like your idea needs more justification than JBs...i.e. assuming that you meant to say " I don't see why she would be against a Synth Husband" in the second line, because otherwise I am reading the tone and context of your post completely wrong. And if so, I'm so sorry.

Anyway, my feeling is that If I found out that someone deceived me into thinking that my spouse that I had seen getting murdered in front of me had miraculously survived but was infact a synth then, I would feel small, alone, hurt and betrayed. And you have to think about this too...I was till that point already dealing with an enormous amount of guilt because as soon as the spouse is shown to be miraculously alive, it means that he was alive back when I exited the vault. None of this had to happen if only I had made sure the spouse wasn't dead...if only I had healed my spouse somehow, maybe used a bunch of stimpacks or something, I could have been looking for my son with the help of the person that I married at my side. But instead, because of an oversight on my part, because I was too stupid, too careless, too heartless, I had to debase myself and ruin the sanctity of my marriage. But as soon as I find out that this spouse was a synth, a way for Father to control me, to force me to stop doing what I am doing, then all that mental anguish and agony was for nothing. What I am left with is rage and anger and disappointment and longing and loneliness. Why would I give Father and the synth spouse a second chance? Heck, even if I am able to get over what that stunt with the synth husband does to my psyche, how can I treat this new synth like the real spouse?

Also your argument about her warming up to the sister doesn't make much sense to me as the situations are completely different...we already know from the moment we meet that she is a synth. In fact the sister can be considered as a symbol of hope in darkness while what would this synth be a symbol of? Painful memories and betrayal?

So I would say @JB.'s original idea sounds more plausible...the Overboss can probably even use this to fuck with the player character's head a bit. Maybe he can force her to collar him or whip him or put him in one of the cages that the Pack have got or shit on his head or something (lol, just like he did with her Diploma) to prove to him that she has truly completely left that life behind.

Honestly to me, I feel like your idea needs more justification than JBs...i.e. assuming that you meant to say " I don't see why she would be against a Synth Husband" in the second line, because otherwise I am reading the tone and context of your post completely wrong. And if so, I'm so sorry.

Anyway, my feeling is that If I found out that someone deceived me into thinking that my spouse that I had seen getting murdered in front of me had miraculously survived but was infact a synth then, I would feel small, alone, hurt and betrayed. And you have to think about this too...I was till that point already dealing with an enormous amount of guilt because as soon as the spouse is shown to be miraculously alive, it means that he was alive back when I exited the vault. None of this had to happen if only I had made sure the spouse wasn't dead...if only I had healed my spouse somehow, maybe used a bunch of stimpacks or something, I could have been looking for my son with the help of the person that I married at my side. But instead, because of an oversight on my part, because I was too stupid, too careless, too heartless, I had to debase myself and ruin the sanctity of my marriage. But as soon as I find out that this spouse was a synth, a way for Father to control me, to force me to stop doing what I am doing, then all that mental anguish and agony was for nothing. What I am left with is rage and anger and disappointment and longing and loneliness. Why would I give Father and the synth spouse a second chance? Heck, even if I am able to get over what that stunt with the synth husband does to my psyche, how can I treat this new synth like the real spouse?

Also your argument about her warming up to the sister doesn't make much sense to me as the situations are completely different...we already know from the moment we meet that she is a synth. In fact the sister can be considered as a symbol of hope in darkness while what would this synth be a symbol of? Painful memories and betrayal?

So I would say @JB.'s original idea sounds more plausible...the Overboss can probably even use this to fuck with the player character's head a bit. Maybe he can force her to collar him or whip him or put him in one of the cages that the Pack have got or shit on his head or something (lol, just like he did with her Diploma) to prove to him that she has truly completely left that life behind.

In essence yes I am saying that it's possible for Nora to be accepting of a Synth Husband. She doesn't have a hatred of them, so far. My thoughts on to why Nora would be more forgiving is that She wants to get out, to keep a semblance of her previous self. Nate Synth being there without knowing could give her that hope. I do agree that the revelation of him being a Synth could potentially fuck with Nora's mind and all that entails. Yet with the choices given by Nuka Ride, There is still a chance that she could be persuaded about forgiving that lie. The Revelation of course will still affect her and could still be used to break her will further but it all comes down to how you have built Nora. Who your "Nora" is. Have you made her to submit fully to the Overboss, accepting everything that has happened and finding it enjoyable and pleasurable maybe you have made her a reluctant and tragic person who found her self with very little choice than pretending to be what the situation calls for, or even some one who is slowly accepting of this life but still lives with regret, longing for the better days.

 

 There are multiple instances of moments where Nora comments/thinks of her past and make decisions on it. One that comes to mind is the dream sequence while getting pierced another would be towards father as to why she's doing what she is doing. Nora can respond to saying She can't stop because then everything she has done would break apart. That She has no choice if she wants to live. 

 

Think about it, why would Nora be here? To look for her son. Maybe she can't shoot for shit so she needs means to get help or otherwise. Maybe she needs some Caps and find out more about the world in a "safe" environment.

 

 

 

I am by no means saying my idea is the best, it is simply an interpretation of how the mod can progress. I am heavy on the Role Play, and one think about RP is choices. Yes you could read the character as being extremely vengeful, or easily manipulated. You could also see the character as hopeful, or Naive.
