However, I suppose I should take the time to adress this here: I'm really sorry for my absence, everyone. It has not been intentional, I've been having bizarre and frustrating network issues. For whatever reason I can't connect to Origin to play The Sims. Most websites work, but a handful don't (on Chrome at least). Simsdom.com is completely broken for some reason. I can't even connect to the Steam storefront. Every device that connects to my Wi-Fi is fine though. Anyway, since the middle of October I've tried every fix I can find, scanned my computer again and again and I've been defeated so many times I've given up. It's most likely going to involve me replacing something. I've got a relatively old laptop (which I completely forgot I had) and I'm going to try and see if I can connect to Origin through that, but I'm hesitant to know the truth. Apologies again, I'm pretty pissed off about it becuase I really want to come back. 3

Yeah I've been thinking about making another plus-sized sim for a while, I've got one half-finished from a while ago, and she's quite 'plus'. Trouble is, clothing can be a issue with that sometimes. Anyway, I'll look into it. Also, an update for everyone else, I've got 5 more sims planned for the next update, due in a couple of weeks. Though, I'm not sure how many more I can add to the current file. So it may vary. 1

Abandoner Posted February 11, 2022 Author Posted February 11, 2022 (edited) Hey everyone, just a small status update: For my next update I originally intended to release 5 new sims, but it's taking me too long as I'm trying to get them just right, so that may change. Regardless, there will be an update this month. Also coming in the same update is an improved version of my skin overlay, I've cleaned it up considerably around the sides of the torso. It's something I should have done a long time ago. It also means that if you use my overlay and like the new one, you may want to re-assign it to any of my older sims you have. A bit of a pain I know. And finally, speaking of older sims. I've been thinking of doing this for a long time. But I don't know if there is any interest in it at this point. But I really want to remaster a select few of my favourite sims. The sims I made early last year are a little rough around the edges and I feel they could use an update. Trouble is, the changes may be so minor that it wouldn't warrant it, all I would change is skin details and face structure (and maybe better outfits) but still maintain the original look. I also don't know if I should replace the old ones with the remastered ones. Or include them as a new separate download. Here are some early examples Click on the images for the full screen versions and go back and forth to see the differences more clearly. Spoiler Old Sofia New Sofia Old Katja New Katja As you can see, minor changes, but I feel the new versions are significantly better, but it's subjective. It may not be worth much if they're already existing in your world and you've left them exactly as they were uploaded, but anyone new to my file, they'd be getting something better I think.
