Hello,

 

I'm just returning from a long while and the website modsgarden.cc seems to be gone. It had a huge database of user-created content.

 

What happened to it?

Yep, MG went down for good late last year.

 

It was going up & down like a yo-yo every few weeks until finally it just went down and never came back.

 

We never heard from Marotaika (sp?) or Phoebe to know exactly what happened, but briefly for about two weeks, it was possible to still access a cache of the entire site (by entering the IP address instead of URL) and recover files. I grabbed as much of my own stuff as possible (posts, uploads, pics, etc) before the host caught the backdoor and shut it down.

 

Then I got hit with a ransomware attack (unrelated) and I lost everything I had backed up. ?

 

Others grabbed lots of old stuff too, and most of us keep backups of just about everything we uploaded, so if you remember anything you want/need, just ask.

You will find the vast majority of the remaining community is on http://www.klubexile.com including a shit ton of new content rivaling the amount of content that was available on MG. Probably even more.

Nice to hear.  The other guy complaining is most likely the one guy in UK that got banned from the site (Pretty sure of it actually).  He seems to be a little salty because of it, so don't mind him.
