RebelInfernal Posted May 2, 2021 Posted May 2, 2021 Before I explain I'm going to say right now I'm fully aware this is just my own stupidity and uncertainty, but can someone please explain the settings of WW to me?? I've got a decent game working, but tweaking things to my liking is so confusing with all these menus and submenus and the mod page doesn't seem to go into the specific details I'm asking about. There are a few things specifically that I just don't understand properly. First, how exactly does the role assignment and gender recognition settings work? I've got three characters, one female, one male, one futa, and there seems to be no logic as to whether or not this gets taken into account with female or male partners. So how do I make sure my futa and male always use male animations and positions and females can use either female or male with strapons? How does this all relate to the recognise males/females as both settings or fit animations to sexual function option? Second, as far as I know there is no way to change gender preferences before starting a new game, so a good number of Sims have already been generated with particular settings by the time I realised that. I'm trying to make a predominately bisexual world and I've changed that setting but the menu makes it clear that it's for newly generated NPCs, so how do I change the ones that already got set? Third, what about the attributes for my Sims? Am I supposed to select them from the menu like I would traits in CAS, or is there a way to buy them like reward traits? If my Sim has the incest trait I assume the family member also needs the same trait for romance options to be allowed? I've seen in the relationship settings there are global switches for teen/adult, open relationships, poly, adultery, incest etc. But how do those settings affect things exactly? If I want my sim to seduce a wife or husband do I have to have those global switches toggled on or are the individual attributes invisibly applied to NPCs? If so is it possible to develop or change them or am I just forced to deal with the randomly generated attributes? Last, what do the different progression and stage options mean? I can't help but feel like its all a bit unclear. Really sorry for the barrage of questions, and sorry again since this is probably all painfully obvious, but my brain is trying to live up to the Official Idiot title ?
Crashdown117 Posted May 2, 2021 Posted May 2, 2021 Don't worry, you're not the first one to be confused by that stuff (says the guy who still needs to look up some of all that). If you're stupid, then so am I and we can start the "Official Idiots' Club" right here and now. 38 minutes ago, RebelInfernal said: There are a few things specifically that I just don't understand properly. Set gender recognition mode to use CAS gender settings (so male looking Sims are treated as males) or biological characterisitcs (so everyone with a penis is considered male) and additionally enable males to be recognized as both (so every "M" in the animation tags is treated as a "B" and "true females" equip a strapon). 38 minutes ago, RebelInfernal said: Second, as far as I know there is no way to change gender preferences before starting a new game, so a good number of Sims have already been generated with particular settings by the time I realised that. They used to be reward traits, but now the Personalization menu (click on Sim > "Wicked") is the way to go - also for removing those traits again. Your assumption is correct, as long as you don't play around with the global switches. 38 minutes ago, RebelInfernal said: I've seen in the relationship settings there are global switches for teen/adult, open relationships, poly, adultery, incest etc. But how do those settings affect things exactly? These global switches act similarly to the traits, but affect every single Sim in your game. Enabling incest globally yields the same result as giving every Sim the incest trait. To enable behavior like polygamy only for specific Sims, use the above mentioned traits instead. 38 minutes ago, RebelInfernal said: Last, what do the different progression and stage options mean? I can't help but feel like its all a bit unclear. "Stage only" means that your Sims will follow a series of animations by a certain creator like a playlist. For example, if there are "Animation 1 - Foreplay", "Animation 2 - Main Course" and "Animation 3" - Climax", those will be played in that and only that order. "Random" does what it says. Your Sims can start out with "Animation 2", then pick something entirely different like "Blowjob C" and so forth. "Full progression" (I believe that's what it's called in English) is a mix of the two. "Animation 2" will follow "Animation 1", just like with "Stage only", but if there is no follow-up animation, random picking will be used (so "Blowjob C", then "Animation 2" and "Animation 3").
Scorpio Posted May 3, 2021 Posted May 3, 2021 12 hours ago, RebelInfernal said: First, how exactly does the role assignment and gender recognition settings work? I'll try to explain: WW only tries to pick the correctly tagged animations to use like animations tagged for M/F, MM, FF, or Bi, (I think) But when an animation has another tag for all, like (B)Both, or all the other tags too, WW can't pick the proper one to use with so many tags so it just grabs any. The problem isn't with WW settings but the animations that have too many tags. If you look at the animation tags closely in the disable animations menu study some of their tags. 13 hours ago, RebelInfernal said: Third, what about the attributes for my Sims? If you don't use the WW global incest cheat then all sims you want involved each need the incest attribute added. Click on sim, Wicked > Personalization > Wicked Attributes > Give Attributes (This is also where you add Adulterer and Poly for married sims when you have the 'open relationships' setting disabled for cheating) (You can make the wife or the husband the adulterer, or both) *All these WW attributes have been removed from the trait rewards* 13 hours ago, RebelInfernal said: Second, as far as I know there is no way to change gender preferences before starting a new game, so a good number of Sims have already been generated with particular settings by the time I realised that. Original new games all start with all straight sex Residents. 2 exceptions, Sulani and Evergreen Harbor(ECO DLC), each town has a gay married female couple. The game will generate new random townies that are up for grabs on genders applied. One of the WW settings can control which genders you prefer to have added to the game. I use MCCC so I can check/change individual sims genders in game at will. Or the method of console commands as Crashdown mentioned above. WW settings are a bit hard to learn what does what at first so don't feel bad you're not alone.

And Crash, I think the jury's still out regarding my stupidity, I'll let you know if it's ever time to start the Idiots Club lol.
