I have no opinion on that, since I already have no problem getting updates by using the follow button here on the forum. I only ever log into Discord briefly if I need to ask a question in one of the channels there, so for me it would be a really terrible way to get updates about anything, but I recognize that not everyone's workflows are the same as mine.

 

What I'd find useful is if the mod could be (re)distributed over bittorrent, since Google Drive already locked down the new version within a few hours for too many downloads, so I've been unable to try it out. Download sites like Mega or GD are pretty awful ways to distribute large files, unfortunately.

I was researching other methods of sharing files, but sense I had updated the mod page but hadn't uploaded the actual mod yet I decided to just put it out there asap. I'll keep looking for other methods of sharing files.

Peer-to-peer file distribution is still the means least likely to run afoul of download quotas, which is why I suggested something like bittorrent. As long as one person who has the complete download provides a torrent link (magnet URL, etc) and sticks around seeding it long enough for a few other complete seeds to appear, we can keep it going collectively at least long enough until the initial rush subsides for each new version. The GD option would still be there for occasional downloads, but will obviously be overrun pretty quickly and for a while following each update.

 

I'd gladly volunteer to set up a torrent and leave a seed running, but I can't without the file and for now I'm still getting "Too many users have viewed or downloaded this file recently. Please try accessing the file again later. If the file you are trying to access is particularly large or is shared with many people, it may take up to 24 hours to be able to view or download the file."

I see we can still only choose one category, I'm guessing merging them all into one long loop like the mod was originally would just be too long to use as the menu loop.  Any intention to make combos?  I understand you can't reasonably include every possible combination into the one download without it ending up being like 200gb in size, but would uploading some separately be feasible, or just too much work and storage for the smaller number of people that might want a certain mix?

I'm just trying to make the mod acceptable for a broad audience, and some people don't want anything to do with these kinks. What you're talking about sounds like a level of customization that only a few are interested in. I'd love to make it possible to combine loops, but the way the FO4 works you can only have one file be used as the menu. meaning I would have to create the combinations myself. Assuming you only want to combine 2 of the loops, that's a total of 36 options including the existing sinle category loops. That's over 4 times the number of files that currently exist. Because of the size of the mod, we're already having trouble with how many people can download the file. I'm not trying to rain on your parade, I just don't think combos are an option right now. I know some of the options are not as long as others (the Futa option is 11 minutes long, and the vanilla option isn't even half of that) but I have to work with the 3D Fallout porn that is already out there. Hope this rant makes sense.

You could certainly make a menu loop of your own: 

These files you sent are only pics, so I can't really verify their quality. I'm trying to only use the best quality videos for my mod, beacuse of this I can't even convert some awesome gifs into videos for the loops (the compression is too bad). However if anyone has awesome SFM or Blender FO4 porn that I haven't used feel free to send it to me. I'm always looking for new animations to add.

Glad to see you are getting a chance at getting back to modding. Hope things work outt this time.

 

As for the Discord, it isn't strictly necessary, and may create an issue with communication being split between fronts and users asking the same thing on many different places.

I know you didnt make the animations, but this is still a great mod. you went through the trouble of finding all this, compiling it, and rewriting code to make it work. Great job, super sexy.

My only question is; is there a way to select only a few videos from a few categories and have that play on the main menu? i want the videos for assaultrons, deathclaws, and dogs both fuuta and non futa, but i dont want the weird bugs and ghouls.

Unfortunately no, loadscreens are limited to a common background image and an optional static object associated with each text entry. About the closest you can get to customizing this is the ALR mod, which adds a fixed number of planar objects and maps a different image file on disk to a diffuse texture for each of them, then displays those as the static objects for load screens (positioned so that they obscure the view of the actual loadscreen background image). The end result is effectively a random selection from a 25-image slideshow of your choosing.

That's all pretty fair, I figured those constraints would be the reason.  Also holy cow, 11 minutes on just the one option, that's still a pretty impressive amount of material.  But yeah, I get that.  Would be so easy if we could just slot another image or video into a list and it just adds it in on the loop, but you gotta work with the game as it is, right?  Regardless, it's good to see you back and this getting worked on.

i have ALR, and im pretty sure i have more than 25. also, if you have a daunting load order, its kind of a pain to go into xedit and delete all the Load Screen categories from each esp. it doesnt auto-replace anything but the base game and dlc

If you look at the plugin you'll see ALR only 25 of the loadscreens it overrides have its planar statics, so on any given playthrough it's not going to show you more than that many different images (it may pick 25 at random from the specified directory, or it could just be the first 25 it finds, I haven't tested to see which it is).

Yes, I made a bunch of ESL-flagged plugins to patch the ones in my loadout, but I agree it's quite annoying how many mods add custom loadscreens just because they can.

I used the Marie Rose video where she is using the fitness ball and, following the instructions, made a Fallout 4 Main Menu Replacer. Unfortunately, as I do not have the original animation creator's permission, I can't upload it to here

Do you have a .pdf capable reader? Open the folder you downloaded the file too then right click it and do Open with and select your web browser. Firefox, google chrome and edge should all be able to open the file correctly. or select Notepad ++ if you have it installed.
