Which script governs the main menu loop movie?

I think it's all in the Fallout4.ini file. If anyone could change it to pick a random file instead of the MainMenuLoop then I can create shorter menu loops so you can enjoy all of the clips instead of having to sit through a 9 minute one.

Why are there two "Intelligence" files? One is misspelled "Inteligence", can that be deleted or does it serve some purpose I'm not aware of?

If there is a double than delete it, I'll try and fix that soon

Thanks for making this! It's permanently replaced the static Vaultmeat Main Menu for me now. I get that your selection is limited by what you've been able to find, no judgements there, these are some great clips but I'll definitely keep an eye out for more and link to them if I spot any which might work well.

Having watched through the entire sequence, here are a few notes: Some are a bit more immersion-breaking than others, and it might make sense to put a greater proportion of the less kinky stuff earlier in the set. Particularly the clips with hermaphroditic deathclaws, assaultrons/P.A.M., FutaPiper, and maybe even the Chinese stealth suit stuff would make sense to run closer to the end, keeping the rest earlier. Also starting off with Dogmeat as the very first scene, while I think that one is great, is still maybe a bit much. Consider easing into it with one or two of the (perhaps shorter) vanilla scenes before mixing in increasing amounts of bestiality.

For the most part people aren't going to always leave it running in a loop, and will stopping the show fairly quickly in favor of actual gameplay, so putting clips which target broader audiences first in series makes sense (at least to me). That makes the more kinky scenes a bit of an "Easter Egg" treat for anyone who does watch it a bit longer.

Agreed, Personally, I'd prefer that the main loop be split into 4+ smaller files by theme (Robots, Deathclaws, Dogs, Futa, Vanilla, etc) and have the option to pick the one I like most.

Thanks for the input, If I have any time I may try and do that. I'm honestly waiting for someone to check back in and see if I can take those categories Yamioni mentioned and see if I can fix so that one of them is picked at random. That way the menu loop is different every time you start it up. I know not everyone is into these kinks, but I give full disclosure in the mod description, If people don't like what is included they are not obligated to download this mod.

I did some digging myself, and I can't find anything in the available documentation for the INI files like you suggested (RE: setting which file to use for the main loop.) I would assume that the filename is hard-coded in the game EXE itself, which would mean you'd need to use F4SE and xSE PluginPreloader to change the value at the start before the loop plays (assuming the engine is even amenable to having that value changed.)

I may have a go at putting something together, but my C++ is suuuper rusty, and I haven't worked with script extender plugins before...

I have a "Wasteland Porn" pack for VotW which I was going to suggest as a potential source of material, since there are some sequences in it (particularly super mutant ones) which I don't think you've used. But in hunting for where I originally found it, I think it was here on LL and has since been taken down for unspecified reasons.

Though in searching I did notice this oldie which may have scenes worth lifting:

This was uploaded to Nexus today and is relevant to some of the earlier discussions around loading screen randomization: Automated Loadscreen Replacer (ALR)

I saw that myself. It's similar to what would be required, but not quite. ALR is just making load screen replacement easier; the load screens are already defined in the ESMs/ESPs and pretty easy to customize already.

If the creator were feeling charitable, they could probably extend or fork ALR to randomize the main menu loop as well.

FWIW, I was able to decompile the main executable and find where the filename/path is hardcoded like I expected... I just have no idea how to go about creating the F4SE plugin to patch it... There is pitifully little information available, unfortunately.

Yeah, I figuring reverse-engineering ALR might yield insights, but maybe the author is willing to publish the source code they used?

From the mod page:

When I release my code I hope I can get some critiques on all the stuff I have done wrong since I used this project to improve my knowledge of coding and I learned a lot.

So probably less of an "if" and more of a "when", hopefully. I'll keep my eyes open.

This is pretty cool seeing r34 stuff used like this, especially with the special stuff. Unfortunately the main menu loop doesn't work with 21:9 aspect ratios. I don't know what you need to do to fix that but you could also just make a version with the boot video/special stuff since that works just fine it seems. The excessive use of robots in the main loop ain't my cup of tea anyways but the special vids are def worth having their own version for.

If all you want is to skip the main menu videos, you can simply delete/move/rename MainMenuLoop.bk2 from this mod's video folder (or overwrite it with another main menu video replacer mod).

Thanks for the update!  One quick note, if you weren't aware, you included the full "vanilla" main menu loop twice.  Once in the Data/Video folder, and again in the Vanilla folder.

Spoiler

Edited to add: Also, the GameIntro_V3_B file from the 3.0 version seems to be missing.

yikes, let me see what I can do about that. I felt like people didn't care about the GameIntro_V3_B, but if that's not the case I'll add it back in. It will still not have sound though.

Excited for the new version! But sad that the GDrive bucket is already over its download quota... ?

not sure what you mean, is there a download limit on Google Drive shared files?  If there is a better way of making the file available to download, Let me know and I'll do my best to fix it :)
