@onionknighto Were there any considerations to add sexbound support since it's now back into development/rework (sexbound reborn)? Or at least a support for it's race compatibility since it adds more character sprites to work with.

This would require sexbound and we are hesitant to make the mod sexbound dependent. Possible solutions: a separate downloadable addon that includes sexbound dependency and the requested features.

Same answer as question #1.  After thinking about it we would probably do a separate sexbound-dependent addon for the mod. But it would be low priority. I have no Idea how forcing the player into a sexnode works but I think it is possible. Would need further research or someone else to do it.

 

-defeat support?

I have removed defeat from my modlist because it caused so many bugs. Maybe they have been fixed? Anyway, it would also need sexbound and I would have to look further into it what else is needed for it to work. I think if the sexbound basics are working the defeat mod should function upon that without much hassle.

Well, i gotta say, the couple of actual monsters in this mod are paragons, one's huge and the other, very small... Makes any form of Sexbound support very difficult...

I've been wondering, since the mod only has two actually supportable monsters, this isn't that much of a ask, but most positions are a pain with this large chonker. They barely fit in most 43x43 animations. Currently have 3 positions done for them (Albeit, dominant cowgirl, they need some fixes), both actors, and they are only ever "male". All of that is subject to change if people really want something else.

As for other objects, most of them feature angles not normally seen in Starbound/Sexbound and as such, makes life a lot harder to implement things, such as the "ass out, body in wall" objects, or even the mimic "bait". Would have to see what anyone can do with those...

Both share the same problem and same solution, but 43x is the size of the human sprites in Vanilla, and Sexbound uses the same size. Terato simply solved this a long time ago by adding a ton of .frames files that dictate each sprite is bigger, for each individual PNG of the animation.

 

The problem doesn't lie there, the problem lies when the body of the creature itself is too large to be contorted to fit most positions. The Mimics don't have a specific "Torso" per se, but they must have a central body location, and the issue i run into is that, to keep the creature looking proper, while also fitting it in the animation positions is rough. No matter how much i increase the size of the animation, it does not in fact move the characters more apart from each other, so stuff like where the penetration is supposed to be happening, where the climax particles come out of, etc, don't match at all, or i have to twist the creature very roughly to fit it in some animations.

As seen, the position fits perfectly within the boundary of each frame, and the "genital tentacle" is position exactly where the particles come off, so it seamlessly fits into the humanoid animations, and i don't have to write custom positions (Which may break Sexbound Reborn) to try and tweak it a bit. Also, this is not a single-layer animation, the creature is separated into all layers proper. (Genital/groin, arm-back, arm-front, body)

This mostly scrapped attempt at standing shows the issue i have: The characteristic signature part of the creature is it's tentacle "hood" and the ruin eye, moving it out of the frame/hidden would significantly lower the quality of the animation, but the hood is such a unique shape, that moving it around to a different angle means essentially redoing the entire thing from my imagination and the one reference we have. So i have to extend it to have a "body" somewhat, which looks very odd, and means the "genital tentacle" isn't connected to the same place it was before, not to mention how the joints in the "leg" tentacles are essentially gone, mixed into it's body-mass. It may look good enough for most, but i don't really enjoy looking at it and reminding myself i made it, a artist notices a lot more mistakes in their own art and enjoys it a lot less, so i try to either improve or scrap the idea.

Hey, no need to limit yourself in your field, you're free to do whatever you want! Just makes support harder the bigger and more complex the creature is, nothing but a bigger challenge for whoever wants to try their hand at it, and well, maybe also takes longer overall.

If you want your next creature to be 500x500, i wouldn't complain, i just know any support will be ridiculously hard. Doesn't matter to the eyes of the user, people still ask me if i'll support the Starbound vanilla bosses.

For some reason, I'm not able to pick up the Hypnotic Watcher Spawner or Tentacle Gazer Spawner after buying them from Tentacle Prime. I'm using Carlucci Inventory Mod which might be the reason, but I still have plenty of space in my inventory.

After googling for like 5 minutes I found that it is a common problem with Carlucci Inventory Mod that some modded items cannot be picked up.

I’ve encountered a problem with this mod where the tentacle traps don’t seem to work properly in multiplayer.

 

the tentacles attempt to grab me but I’m then freed after a bit instead of getting raped, it works fine in singleplayer but in multiplayer its just broken for me specifically, others seem to interact with it just fine, I’m using the same mods as they are, the logs show no signs of errors.

I've found that using this mod (Automation Aides) https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=854844222 . You can pick up items that can't be picked up by using an item grabber while still having Carlucci's Inventory mod. It's kinda weird and when you try to put the item in your inventory it can kinda freak out but I've found that if you click an empty space and then close and reopen your inventory the item will be there. It's incompatible with frackin as frackin has this mod built in. I assume most people in this community can't use frackin either because it's incompatible with Sexbound.

Absolutely -love- the progress you've made on this mod since I last checked in! I'm excited to see you found a workaround to having sexy animations and even status effects without relying on SxB or SxBr! I accidentally set a hypnotic watcher free on my neki's stolen ship, still trying to figure out how to deal with that xD But it's just part of the tentacly adventure!

Thank you again and again for the mod, I look forward to anything more that might be added or polished ❤️

Update 2.5 is out now and it brings to you the following:

added over 190 microbiome dungeons
added derelict ship dungeon 'ttppeventhorizon' that can very rarely (1,6%) occur in an Anomaly (space encounter spirals)
added a big randomized flesh themed dungeon: 'fleshhive'
added a friendly tentacle amusement park: 'ttpp_land'
improved vascular door collision
converted one animation to our new random victim system
improved dialogue portraits and duration

 

To make the mod even better for future updates I'd like to get everyones feedback on the microbiome dungeons!

It's difficult to naturally test every dungeon outside of spawning them yourself and it also depends on individual taste.

I tried to make a wide variety of encounters, some being lewd, funny, beautiful, cool or crazy. If you find some of those immersion breaking or in bad taste, please provide feedback. 

 

Also, asteroid fields are worth a visit now.

Do I need to delete my universe folder and start a new universe for the new dungeons to spawn or can they show up on the solar system I'm currently in/nearby solar systems?

There are three options to enjoy the new dungeons:

1. Start a new character (I plan to do that with FU and rpg growth, only did vanilla before)

2. Travel far to newly generated systems/planets

3. Reset the universe by deleting that folder

 

The system you are currently in will probably not have many new dungeons if at all.

There is also possibly option 4 but i don't know it will spawn new dungeons or just redo the previous generation before player iteration:

 

4 - in game - go to the planet you want to reset and after landing on the planet exit the game.

   - outside the game -  go to your "universe" folder, and make it organised by the latest file to be modified, delete the latest  ".world"  file

Is there any particular biomes that have a lot of new micro dungeons to see? I seem to keep finding mostly the same ones in the Forests/Deserts I've gone to.
