i think everyone mods for different reasons. some mod for themselves, and don't really care what other people think of their work and some mod for glory and adulation. i think most people fall in the middle somewhere though.

Yeah, speaking of estrus... Does anyone have the rare re-texture files for the tentacle ropers ?? it's quite..well. looks like real cock. no bluish main body, no bumps, warts and no melted flesh.

 

I been retexturing it today, it just not quite right. If there a good retexture options is out there it'll saves a lot of time.

I was thinking about the random encounters with the ropers and slimes. It seems that it would be easy enough for a modder who knows what they are doing to take a creature' date=' give it a invisibilty ability, make it small, make it attack with the random spell, then die. This would give the illusion that the ropers and slimes appear on their own and you could easily randomize the encounters in the leveled lists. The key is to make the critter unoticable to the player. And naturaly it would have to die after the attack so the player isn't stuck there forever. I haven't messed with mods since Oblivion first came out. It was a major headache for me then, and now with all the other tools, I am completely lost.

Whipped this up over the last few hours. It adds an invisible ghost creature to the 25% chance beast leveled list that only casts estrus spells with a 500 damage health on self effect. There's a version that casts random and random explosion and another that casts summon roper and summon roper explosion. Pick one. I've only conducted the most rudimentary of tests, so you'll have to let me know whether it's working and how often, if ever you get ambushed. I'd also appreciate feedback on anything you think could be improved/polished. Whether I actually act on that feedback will depend on my own level of motivation, ability (which is quite small), and current thoroughness of lurk.

 

EDIT: I am an idiot and did not check to make sure that the leveled list I picked was actually used by anything. I have created new versions (attached) that have the caster critters on several leveled lists. You will likely find them roaming the wilderness. Let me know whether it works.

I replaced the default sounds with one of the Lovers soundsets. It's probably not perfect, and you do lose some of the "unwillingness" factor, but I like it more than the English version on Nexus, and way more than the ear-piercing default. Made if for myself but thought I'd share as it was mentioned ITT.

Is anyone else unable to get estrusplant to work? The spiddal sticks only damage stats, not attack me with tentacles.

EstrusPlant never worked for me, either. I think there might be some conflict with Harvest Flora. That said, Void_Estrus_Traps works very well; your character will spend a fair amount of time in Oblivion being hit with Estrus spells. You can search around the forum for it.

I checked and it was Harvest Flora that caused the problem. Thanks Old Book, I would've never have guessed that it would have been the problem. And Old Book, do you mean the container traps based off of estrus or the random estrus attacks in certain areas plugin?
