The culprit was skyrim itself and it way of allocating memory, what I did was: -set the line useOSAllocators=1 in crashfixes.ini -download and install SKSE plugin preloader -set line ReduceSystemMemoryUsage in enblocal.ini Done Before that skyrim wasn't using my GPU in it's fullest, now it does I'm hitting 3500mb(out of 4096) used in areas that are performance heavy. Also I am having much less fps with ENB on before I had constant 30-37fps, now I'm hitting even 24(as a fps drop that "fixes" itself almost instantly and fps goes back to 27-28 in open areas). It was clean skyrim install. What my problem is that I'm having black/purple textures becouse of graphics mods, also I've encountered freezing after instaling sex mods (which I've didn't encountered on my prevoius modding sessions). I'd be ok with that if my PC was old&rusty but it isn't... I havent had such problems before - well I mean for some reason I couldn't run SFO, Vivid landscapes and smim after installing minor retextures like Rustic dragons, some retextures for tanktards, septimes, tanning racks, workbenches, rustic elder scrolls and so on, becouse game was crashing or freezing or lacking textures for some reason which for me is weird and outrageous becouse they were items/clutter/mobs retextures which were barely noticible outside of buildings. I really don't understand it and maybe you guys&girls will give me some advice what should I do. I think I was doing good becouse at first I installed some mods requirements (skyui, ui extenstions, jcontainers and so on) then I've installed skyrim 2K textures and so on. I've tried using cell stabilizer, skse ini memory fix, enbboost nothing worked. I have preety new notebook which I bought 1 year ago and it comes with GTX1050 4GB VRAM DDR5, 8GB RAM and Intel Core i5 8 gen and the game as well as MO is installed on SSD disc. After a whole week of fucking around with which mods are cousing such problems today I "rage quited" and I'm doing clean install of skyrim right now. Let me say it once again I used to have a tons of graphics mods in previous installs and everything worked fine without CTDs, freezing, black textures, pink textures and other bugs... I'm also running Perfected ENB (0.262 enb binary)really smoothly with around 30fps with fps drop to 25fps in falkreath area. What can I do to avoid such bugs in future? Also I'm very curious about one thing - why was SFO (no grass), SMIM and Vivid Landscapes(all in one bsa archive) causing ctds when I've installed minor retexture mods that had nothing to do with flora and were barely noticible outside the buildings (because they were items retextures, clutter retextures and so on (mainly rustic, renthal, amidianborn and others)) - the best example is rustic dragons which I noticed were cousing black textures - and sorry for the words - but what the fuck? Why? While it doesn't affect anything beside dragons!!!!! Generally SFO was cousing CTDs along with smim and Vivid landscapes only when I've installed minor retextures mods and it's not quite normal since those retextures had nothing to do with landscape/flora they had nothing to do with "outside world" textures. But the game as it is worked generaly fine, the only problems were missing/black textures (sometimes even sl animations didn't played), but it was definetly fixable. Regarding HDT are you implying that it might be the reason for black textures and other graphical bugs?

If I may suggest - make a decision what do you want to do in the game: sex or playing hero stuff. What ever is the main activity, go easier with the rest of the stuff. Sexy activities can be very demanding on hardware side... Possibly I am wrong, but that would be my approach.

So I treat sex stuff as miscs becouse some of them are giving real meaning to your gameplay choices. For example simple slavery + Devious followers, cuz in the medieval world when you would have a debt you would be just sold :v at least it was like that in ancient rome. Mainly I want to completly overhaul game including graphics, enb, HDT bodies and custom armors that's why I downloaded over 150 retexture mods for "non important" items like candles, metal ingots, shrines, plates, shelves, pickaxes and other "random" things, also I will install mortal weapons and armors mod and many other gameplay changing mods that build immersivnes and so on and so on, once I'm done with that I'll try to run sexlab anims with nemesis becouse vanilla animations are really robotic xD. 1 hour ago, Lestat1627 said: Probably yes . Grey Cloud Posted April 2, 2021 Posted April 2, 2021 Purple is missing textures. So make sure that the required files are in the expected location. Black can be a number of things: 1. (out of) VRAM. Make sure you have your enblocal.ini configured correctly for your machine. Make sure Crash Fixes is installed correctly. 2. Missing mipmaps on your textures. Run Ordenador on your Data\textures folder with only the 'add mipmaps' box ticked. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12801 3. Missing .dds texture file. Again, make sure there is one in the desired location. VseTmirykS Posted April 2, 2021 Author Posted April 2, 2021 Ok guys, I don't really know what helped it, but maybe Lestat was right and it might have been HTD, when I started installing mods with skyui, uiextensions and then any texture mod I could find, there was no bugs in games, no ctd, no black textures except for one bug, but I'll describe it below, and I've even managed to run this "damned" vivid landscapes. For now there are few graphical mods left to install - SFO, CG4 trees and bushes, enhanced blood and so on. The bug I've spotted was very weird and I think it was due to speedmult, but even though I'll describe it becouse maybe I'm wrong. When I was sprinting with immense speed around skyrim near Windhelm I've spotted strange looking black dots on the ground - image below. Maybe somone can tell if it was really due to speedmult or what kind of bug is it? When I'll be done installing flora and other retexture mods I'll post the result here. EDIT: On the second attempt when I used same speedmult as before the bug didnot appear anywhere. The black dots had normal textures which were a bit darker than the others, they were textured to be dots of snow and ground (white-brown-ish). Perhaps it was a bug that occured due to high speed and textures didn't loaded properly. Also whats worth mentioning is that I have checked other posts where people had the same problem and someone wrote there to check iblurdefferedshadowmask=3 line in skyrimprefs.ini file and check switch off AA in launcher as well as in ini. VseTmirykS Posted April 2, 2021 Author Posted April 2, 2021 Ok guys I've installed a couple more of graphics mods and black textures started appearing f.e. on modded tanning rack, workbench and barrels in riverwood later on I saw that black textures appeared instead of grass in one place also I've installed, "Bug fixes mod", "Crash fixes mod", "SKSE memory patch", SSME(Skyrim startup memory editor) and I've used skyrim performance monitor. And becouse of what I saw (gpu usage, ram usage) I'm highly doubting this bug is occuring due to performance becouse GPU used 35-40%(1500mb/4095mb) of its VRAM on average, and RAM memory 25%(2000mb/8000mb) on average. So I did not hit the magical 3.1 GB ram usage which are causing crashes - frankly I was always quite far from it. Below is screenshot with charts from performance monitor. So here is my question - is this fixable and it is just due to texture collisions(but the bug shouldn't appear because of this while I'm using Mod organizer, right?) or suddenly it is due to performance? That is not how you check the stability of the game. The image looks as if the landscape textures have not finished rendering. In other words, they are still trying to catch up. It is not a bug. It is you not knowing what you are doing. Edit. I wrote the above yesterday but forgot to hit save. Why does SPM show you having two GPUs on the go? None of this is a 'bug'. SSME(Skyrim startup memory editor) and I've used skyrim performance monitor. This is redundant and has been for years. From the description page: "SKSE now has support to adjust these memory allocation parameters" So here is my question - is this fixable and it is just due to texture collisions(but the bug shouldn't appear because of this while I'm using Mod organizer, right?) or suddenly it is due to performance? There is no such thing as 'texture collisions'. One texture will overwrite another. Which one does the overwriting is down to your mod manager. I've had constant 60fps ?

So now - every mod (w/o flora ) works fine without demanding enb which causes my system to allocate over 300mb both in ram and vram. If I want to use more demanding enb I have to delete some of the mods. General mod situation: I can't use SFO, CG4 trees and bushes, renthal flora pack at once with alot of textures mods installed - because when I've compared my sytem performance in two cases - only with flora mods, skyrim 2k textures and enb I was allocating maximally 2100mb(1500 avg) of VRAM and 2300(1700avg) of RAM (23-25 fps in game), when I was running over 40 of 2K and some 4K retexture mods(w/o flora mods) with ENB my system was allocating nearly the same amount of RAM and VRAM(But I had around 30fps in open areas), so I concluded running flora mods with other retextures is not likely going to happen due to performance. Neverthless I'll try to find not that demanding enb (currenct is perfected enb with 0.262 enb binary) and try to overhaul both flora and other things. I'll propably resign from Vivid landscapes becouse it's a parallax mod and its very ram and vram heavy. But anyways I am still confused a bit by the black textures(w/o enb) appearing when I'm adding SFO to the long list of graphics mods that is above, or crashes when runned with enb becouse I'm hitting maybe 2600mb on ram and 2200mb vram so it is not a magical point of crash 3.1 or 3.7 as some people says, but I guess its unfixible, even when It could be I won't waste any more time on getting things work becouse after a week of tryharding I just gave up.

"Skyrim is a 32-bit executable, the max it can see is 4GB's, but because of system processes and hardcoded values it can only actually use 3.5GB's. The game uses about 400MB for communicating with your OS/steam/etc ... leaving you with 3.1GB's. This is RAM not VRAM, there is an important distinction. ENBoost works in a different way regarding memory management: To expand on this, by default Skyrim copies all of the stuff in VRAM into regular RAM, because the engine is old and shitty. This means if you have 2GB of textures in your VRAM as well as 1GB of other stuff in your RAM, you will total at 3GB RAM usage, 2GB VRAM usage. IE this means your RAM usage will always be at least as much as your VRAM usage. ENBoost doesn't allow skyrim.exe to use more than 3.1GB of RAM, that's an engine limit that is impossible to avoid. All it does is make it so instead of copying everything in your VRAM to skyrim.exe in RAM, it copies everything in your VRAM to a separate process, enb.exe. So, while skyrim.exe can still only use a maximum of 3.1GB of RAM, Skyrim itself can use as much as you have available, as long as the huge amounts of extra RAM usage are because of higher VRAM usage getting copied into RAM (from HD textures, meshes, etc), but not if the extra RAM usage is Skyrim using more regular RAM (from things that are not in VRAM anyway).
