And about salvage yep so far it seems you can only use it to buy keys...

I was hoping for there would be option to craft custom weapons with parts + salvage but nope.

I don't really want to play today; I still have to learn a bit Japanese, got class on monday again. If I don't learn the Katagana (just like I somehow did with the Hiragana) I am totally screwed.

@Thulas, do you know how I can get a usable and relatively simple to use Japanese keyboard (with instructions)? Mine doesn't seem to translate Katakana to Hiragana properly. I went to YesJapan.com (or something very close to that) for mine, but it's just not working like the instructions say it will. The fine folks at dlsite recommended it to me. It is supposed to translate as I type, but it doesn't for some reason. It all stays in Katakana. (Damn, I'm well off topic on this one, and on my own thread...whoops!)

I don't really write in Japanese since I barely can read the syllables yet. I can't help you with that right now, but tell me if you find a good keyboard. I probably need one, too. But maybe it's a problem with your language option in Windows.

Still haven't had the chance to play it much, since I haven't stopped working since the day I bought it, but I wanna go in there ready to chat when I do, and that Angry Joe video posted by Jerbsinator made it look like a pain the ass.

There is a "quickchat"-button somewhere, I think its X. Haven't really used it yet, I mostly play alone atm.

My bad. That vid said it's a bitch to do though. Wonder what he meant. I got a feeling I'm gonna get shot dead before I manage to have a quick conversation with someone...

I think they changed it in the patch, not sure.

Well, if you want to conversate during the game, I quess using the steamoverlay is the best way to do it. Or Teamspeak.

Yep Shadow Wars are PVP 64vs64 on game map.

Can be sometimes annoying since you can see "normal " people who don't fight in shadow wars makes people jumpy while capturing/holding "flags ".

Yesterday their servers started to crashed like hell so I hope today I will see some new patch downloading.

In Shadow wars lev 100 can fight against lev 2000 since there is no balance.

I was really suprised by this because on PVP matches I'm usally able to kill like 2-3 people before dying (But now that might be the problem since there are tons of hackers who even livestream and laugh at Trion since there is no ani-cheat system )

While at Shadow Wars I was able to kill  like 10 people in row using cloak + my purple shotgun.

Oh great. Don't even got cloak yet, And the best weapon I have is still the purple assaultrifle you get via storryline. I did the mistake to add a sight on that thing, an ACOG of some sort. I can't stand this thing anymore because of it, since ADS is now a real pain in the ass.

Yep never add any scopes to assult rifles.

I made that mistake myself had really good rifle added scope and basically useless on PVP and even PVE

 

And about cloak I got it as start EGO power and now I'm kinda overpowered

 

Fully Upgraded Cloak - 15 sec invisibility  ( 40 sec recharge )

Shadow Core Perk - Reduce the Recharge time of Cloak (- 9 sec )

Shadowed Strike Perk + 30% dgm while in Cloak

Inifiltrator - Cloak Duration + 6 sec

Pumped Up - Fully reloading weapon recharge EGO power ( 15% )

 

+ My shotgun have + 10% EGO power recharge on reload...

 

So yea deadly combo

I am a big fan of Lexinator's Defiance guide since it helped me start out and answered a lot of question that Trion never did. Now the same guide also explained why there are so many hackers plaguing my PvP matches.

Lexinator actually has videos in his guide that blatantly show people hacking. Shotgun damage for 800000 HP, AR pulses instantly killing Monarchs, etc. It's all very funny if it wasn't so sad. I suggest you all check it out. There is no actual hacking methods mentioned in there, just some very hilarious videos.

Trion, in this day and age how could you make weapon damage client side WITHOUT putting in any checks for max damage? Come on guys.

Also you do realize that you nerfed weapons based on hacked damage, right? Don't you have some way to check these things? I would really like an official Trion response.

Following some of those YouTube links I also spotted a video of a car zooming over the landscape because vehicle speed is also client side. What exactly does the server do in Defiance Trion? Does it even store our characters or will we eventually find out that they too are encoded and hashed somewhere on our hard drives?

As it is, there is no point in playing. Arkfalls and PvP are both dominated by hackers, and there is no incentive to do random events since they no longer give keys.

Even running a co-op dungeon I was grouped with a hacker that was instantly killing everything with his infector... Will those get nerfed again now? Because hitting a mob for 9 million damage with a homing weapon is quite OP.

Finally, any chance we can get some more incentive to PvP and do random events? As it is, one PvP match lasts longer and gives less rewards than doing a much faster PvE mission

Hm, perhaps I'll get some mods afterall lol. Get ready for a bucha naked chicks with god weapons running around. Chicks=good, god weapons=the whole reason I was worried about asking for mods in the 1st place! Come on people! I don't even like being overpowered like that. I'd prefer to dominate with skill, not cheating. Cheating should stay in 1 player campaigns (which this game doesn't even have!), not MP. Wusses. Even cheating in 1 p is bogus, unless you choose to play on a really hard difficulty setting, of which there is no such thing in this game. Trion needs to recall the damn game and send those who bought it a fresh, non-bullshit version (no chance in hell)! (sigh) The commercial made the game look so cool...

Well, it still is, at some point. But a "cool" game with some great gameplayideas doesn't comes up for the bugs and amounts of hackers. Atleast if it isn't Fallout Online, of course. I quess even the 33€ I paied were about 15 too much for what we got here. But I have the feeling, too, that they'll do something about that within the next month. If not: good by, Defiance, nice knowing ya'.

 

About those nude girls you keep whishing for; maybe you should try one of the other 3 (well, 4 if you add Fallout 3) games that LL has many, many mods for to offer. Or Saints Row: The Third. Or...hell, I don't know, Sims maybe

 

I personaly only cheat when I am playing for the storryline and not the game itself. And cheating in MP or even a MMO (and I count buying ingame currency to "more or less legal cheating") is just sad. Harming other players by increasing the ingame inflation or taking the fun out of a bossfight is the worst thing one can do to another in a game. One of the mainreasons why I mostly play something on my own after some time in BO2.

The whole nude thing's no big deal, but this would be the most likely place to ask for it, if it exists. "Lover's Lab". It's a fun game, despite the flaws, so hey, play it and hope for better later, like most games. This hack infestation, however, seems to be an awfully bad one. Why ruin a game right off the bat? It may only get worse, if Trion let's it die, but to fix it, they would have a lot of work on their hands, so there would be a ton of bans lol. Everyone is used to winning by cheating in this game now, afterall. I, for one, don't know how to cheat in this game, and I don't want to know. I just want porn...just kidding LMAO! Thought Thulas would get a kick outta that as it now gives ground for more shit talk.  But keep your eyes peeled for mods, would ya? I wanna see if someone can make a "side mission" mod for it. That would be an acceptable mod indeed. Maybe add a custom race. A custom race may demand a custom EGO power, but if they hacked it as badly as it seems, the sky's the limit! ( ?)
