They must've basically recreated the game, considering the long list of problems they "fixed" lol. They said it's a bit more like the show now. I suppose this how they're gonna keep the show and game ""similar"".Just change stuff that's already there into a different mission. "Interesting" way of syncing the two. Just about to check it out. There's even a new play mode. Here's hoping the game reminds me of the show a little now...

I'm still updating at 21 MBps, and it's been like 7 minutes. Not even half way there yet, so it might be even bigger than that!

One can only wonder how many "updates" this thing is gonna get. Thinkin' of uninstalling it if I know I won't be playing it for a while, to give my other games some breathing room. Okay, NOW I'm gonna go check it out. New pvp mode is called Siege, btw.

If not, I'll take it as a (immediate) fluke and turn it back on to see what's different. Maybe the actual stars of the show will start to...do stuff, and...matter in this game. Perhaps I'll find old St. Louis now (and perhaps not). I don't know. The list of fixes and additions (mostly "fixes") was far too long to read it all. I just came to LL for a time and pestered CGI in SD's thread while it updated its ass off. Hoping for good news here when next I play that travesty. Remind me not to play pvp and get my ass shot off by the hackers lol. At least not before I can safely upgrade my fuckin' EGO!

Last I saw Sukar came back to life (somehow), and then Nolan died. The hooker Nolan fucked died after Daytak's strangely hot-as-hell bitch wife poisoned a flask and gave it to the whore (Mayor's sister...whatserface). She didn't drink from the flask, she just touched it...and died. (sigh) Then...Irisa threw the most important artifact in history (or whatever) into a seemingly bottomless pit, glowing of a frightening, ominous aura, no questions asked. Irisa then decides that it is a good idea to go ahead and jump into the bottomless pit head-first. So Irisa dies, and then Nolan comes back to life. But yeah, the game is supposed to have "shaped" the show in some way. Does that mean the show will be dead-air? I gave right up on this game. As you can see, I was enthused by the cool commercials. ...And terribly dissapointed. I started the thread to get mods, but all I got were a bunch of reasons the game failed. Hopefully, the next season of Defiance will concentrate a little less on how many times someone can stab their best-friend in the back, and everyone betraying everyone to a pretty much unbelievable degree, and a little more on getting back to the action they showed in the 1st episode. I don't wanna see wires crawling out of FourHead's skin, I wanna see bullets flying, bombs exploding, proton accelerator flash-bomb......things mowing enemies for miles...I want action, not dead-end plots! Nice try hooking the hot Cassavin slut up with sexy whore chick (Mayor's sister), but even hot lesbian sex won't save this show. Not in this case. The game was hyped BIG time, and that failed horribly. The show can't seem to wanna tell us what happens next. It just wants to keep going around and around in this tiny area, showing how much nobody can trust anybody. I get it. They're all pieces of shit (except the Mayor, and that cool ass old guy, whatshisface...hot girl's dad...married Sasuke (or whatever). (It's like the uncyclopedia ). Give me a reason to pick up my controller Trion! You wanna use the oldest trick in the book (hot lesians ) to hook viewers in? Well put that shit in the game! (so we can mod the ffffffuck out of it)XD

Consider how long the show has been off the air. Turns out, having hot lesbian chicks make out isn't enough to boost ratings. The game, and show, may in fact be dead.

I definitely had a feeling the game wasn't going to last, being based off a TV series, probably would've been a good idea to make the game later on in the shows life if it stayed on the air and was popular enough. I find it odd you suggest CoD and Battlefield to play instead as the two games aren't at all similar to Defiance, maybe I'm thinking of it differently?

Except of course it's an MMO and it's open world. I think I lasted the first couple months before finally quitting with Defiance. It was fun for a little while, but after that, it all just kind of went downhill. The game and the TV show didn't really seem to mesh well, and the game was barely getting any support from the developers at the time. So much bugs and server downtime that it was hard to even enjoy the game long enough before they took down the servers yet again. I understand new games are buggy at launch, but this was a couple months after and it was still a mess. Almost half the stuff in the game didn't even work properly. On the other side though, the game is really short. You can beat the story rather fast and then there isn't much else left to do but farm events over and over. So a severe lack of content as well. It seemed promising, but in the end, it fell very short of being worth anything.

Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Defiance\Games\Defiance\Live\wad theres wads called textures and actors which suggests people can mod the textures if they know how to convert them to allow nude mods but i dont know how to convert them
