devildx Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 The ones that I played and liked and were not cited: Moon and Star Undeath Remastred The Tools of Kagrenac The Brootherhood of Old (second best and very recommended) Rigmor of Cirodiil Ravengate - Riften Underground (was very buggy when I played) Mirai - The Girls With The Dragon Heart Interesting NPCS - 3DNPC (the best of this list and has a lot of quests)

Could you elaborate a bit on the rest of list? I have to check though. I think DarkEnd did have a compatibility issue with Undeath. Something about same assets if I remember correctly? Also finished Vigilant and I have to say thank you for that recommendation. It's definitely one of the best quest mods I've played for any game, and some of the Fallout stuff is setting the bar high. While I was initially stumped how quiet the last act started and that it didn't feel as tense as act 3, the exploration and various dungeons and challenges were quite fun and while I was overpowered for even that content I think I can tweak it fur further challenge in future playthroughs no problem. I finished with something around 105+- karma and 8 flashbacks I think, got the good ending. Can even roleplay there after I martyred. Architecture and Atmosphere are very good. I think there's a few too many 90° degree dungeons and interiors towards the end but I really didn't mind too much since everything was retextured and felt fresh. Haven't gotten into the western Imperial City but I read you can go back after you're done, so I might do some more exploring later. Only very few bugs. Got stuck on Varla's memory and had to reload, had to reload after killing Balor without going back and forth between Windhelm first (the mod wouldn't progress after its dialogue was given, instead just repeat said dialogue), and I had some strange bug on the coffins in Coldharbour where they have a purple glowing sheet stuck on them with ENB enhanced particle effects on. The change from having full markers to no markers in Act 4 also took some getting used to, but wasn't too bad since most quests bar the Dragon aren't overly complex. Possibility of multiple endings was also top notch. Overall, definite keeper. 9.5/10 Now... what is your experience with the mods successors, Unslaad & Glenmoril? Do they keep up the high quality?

Do they keep up the high quality? Yes it was a really fun trip for me too. To be honest i had to bullshit my way around some doors cause of minor bugs, keys not droping after slaying a boss and i rushed it to fast, but the part with Pelinal.. with a dual wield build + his weapon slaughtering through a Cathedral full of this meridian fuckheads with this epic music was absolutely the best freaking part of this mod! That and some of the rusty armor variants gave me a feeling of adventuring trough hell for ages.. I am in the middle of making a new content modlist for my next play and i think i will make vigilant a trigger point in my characters Turn to madness or darker hero transformation.. Like a Naive Good Doer gets thrown to hell and becomes more grim and a "all that matters are results" kind of man. (first i have to find me some other nice mods to complement it tho.) I can't say anything about its successors, i wait for glenmoril to be more developed before i install it. What you said abot AHO, i think they really missed some big opportunity too, for one that you don't get the full being a slave exp. Most npc are too nice to you from the beginning. Spoiler And i didn't like the "Tardis" and this star wars Bot you got.. visual perfect, nice edition to a dwemer tech gameplay but too much for my taste xD 2 parts i just ignored since i can't be bothered with stuff i can't change and its an all in all good mod. if you already have started unslaad, what are your thoughts about it? Not sure if i should put it in my list since i always play with a light pluglin list with not more then 200 or less.

After finishing Vigilant I've ended the playthrough, cleaned out my modlist and fucked around with other mods. Tried out SL kidnapped, death alternative, Ilumination instead of ELFX. Reverted most of them. DA could be great, however I don't know how it'll interact with stuff that's happening while you're not in Skyrim. Could cause a lot of problems when you're stuck in another new lands mod. My current objectives include different games - I need to redo my modlist for New Vegas (want to switch over to MO2), and the newly released Dawn of War unification mod. I'm still on / off when it comes to Skyrim, but after doing that 200 hours playthrough it's good for a while. € Did you find a way into the western Imperial City districts in Coldharbor?

Honestly i can't remember for sure but i don't think i did. I walked all over the map but some areas still had key restrictions i didn't want to bullshit may way in. I will however try to make a completion run next time i play it. (after i complete my new Mod Setup, give my ugly Highelf the last edits and did my 2 hour Mcm Marathon.) Only a matter of hours and motivation until i will get back to play
Gukahn Posted March 28, 2021 Posted March 28, 2021 For anyone still interested in sharing some cool stuff i found this: I just have to recommend this https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/24334?tab=description and it works..

What is this exactly? Looks like it's just a replacer for NPC clothing at first glance? Also, has anyone here played "the Shire" and might drop a few words on it? Compatibility, story, gameplay... € There are also updated versions of Wyrmstooth and Beyond Reach available. I think the more needed one is BR as it supposedly fixes a lot of stuff and adds more voices (though not all of them yet). I am currently updating my modlist and while I cannot say when I'm going to do another playthrough I'm setting the following mods on the list of ones that I would like to try out: Northpoint, Nocturnal and the Beyond Reach Update.

Exactly that, only that you can choose which clothing and armor gets replaced. For Example: You have a standalone Armor for males, which looks pretty cool and on the other side you hate ebony armor. You just install this mod, go to its mcm and replace ebony with your modded armor. You can even make it gender deppending. so Male get your armor mod replaced, women get vanilla or something else.? Modding for the lazy/Peps like me who don't know how to/don't want to try to edit the level list. Another feature is that you even can set it up that some npc don't wear the same stuff every day. Haven't used it since may but the stuff i tested worked pretty well.

I see, so it's a neat way of customizing NPCs you're often running into, making them more appealing. @T-lam That looks interesting. I'm currently not playing but updating my modlist. Keeping an eye on this. I've also read that Unslaad will make perfect sense if you've only played Vigilant, so I'll add that to my to play list as well... Speaking of Vigilant, the english Voice file got updated...

Yes but it can also change your game dificulty. You can change the armor of every npc that wears for example Iron to anything you want, so even bandits "should" get the gear. Never used it that way but it should work in theory. 13 minutes ago, Swanky said: I've also read that Unslaad will make perfect sense if you've only played Vigilant, so I'll add that to my to play list as well... Swanky Posted September 7, 2021 Author Posted September 7, 2021 Has anyone checked the Ultimate Boss Fight mod? Looks promising but I'm hesitant about it for a) balancing reasons and b) compatibility with bestiality / defeat mods.

I am in the middle of testing awakening to give my skyrim harder vampire enemys. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/54311 but Boss Fight.. Holy shit they look fantastic. I wouldn't bother with creature mods not giving the bosses "Tools." The fighting aspect would be my main priority with that.. look at me, wasting my long overdue vacation with testing mods?

I don't have problems with them not taking advantage, but I'm hesitant about using it because of crashes because mods not recognizing them.
