Patriguz Posted March 10, 2021 Posted March 10, 2021 This question may be too naive of me at this point, but how do I quote a forum member in a post?
Psalam Posted March 10, 2021 Posted March 10, 2021 You can: 1) Click the button on their post that says "quote" (there is a plus sign in front of it on the bottom left of their post), or 2) You can highlight part of their text (if only some of it is relevant; left click with the mouse and while holding the button drag it over the desired text). When you do that and run your cursor over the highlighted text you should have an option that says "quote selection" which you can then choose, or 3) You can simply type what they say and add "@" plus their name (choosing from the dropdown list) in order for them to get a notification, as in @Patriguz. landess Posted March 10, 2021 Posted March 10, 2021 I use the 'highlight/quote' feature the most, but it seems if you try to do that on successive pages it doesn't work: It places the quote at the bottom as a new reply - but - if you change pages , it is lost? The multi-quote feature (that + in front of 'quote') works fine in this regard as it creates a new menu option in the lower right that will add all selected post replies, but then the member must -edit- each quote to remove the bloat if only wanting to use a part of it - such as the highlight/quote feature does.
